NR8961 2+0 Configuration Steps

1. Login N8961
⚫ Connect Laptop to NR8961 OBU port 4 by network cable.
⚫ Enter Default IP: 192.168.1.1 in the browser.

⚫ Enter username: admin

Enter password: User123#

2. Configure NE&FE

Note: NE’s configuration is same as FE’s configuration

1> “Basic Config”
⚫ Configure “RadioChannel”
⚫ Select “Basic Config” --> “RadioChannel”
⚫ PLA configuration
First select “PLA”

⚫ Select “PLA Configuration” then Add PLA

Set PLA Type ”BASIC PLA”
Local Radio Port: select AIR-2 and AIR-1
Note: do not configure XPIC

⚫ Configure “Channel”
Please Select “Channel”, as follow:
 ⚫ configure TN 1-1(Tx Frequency, Rx Frequency, Tx Power, Channel Name,
Bandwidth, ACM, Modulation)
⚫ configure TN 1-2(Tx Frequency, Rx Frequency, Tx Power, Channel Name,
Bandwidth, ACM, Modulation)

Note 1: if the frequency is 11G, Bandwidth is 40M, Modulation is 64QAM, else

Bandwidth is 28M, Modulation is 256QAM.

Note 2: TN-1 frequency has to be different from TN-2 frequency

⚫ Configure Syetem
⚫ Select “Basic Config” --> “System”
 ⚫ Set “Site ID”,”NE Name”, ”NE IP Address”, “DCN VLAN ID”, “DCN VLAN Interface
IP”, “Subnet Mask” according to planning
For example: Link ”NBGR_0083#ZJKT_5607#00#JKT”

⚫ After set “NE IP Address”, connect laptop to OBU port 5, and set laptop IP and
“NE IP Address” in the same network segment, enter “NE IP Address” in
browser for login again,
⚫ Enter username: admin
Enter password: User123#
As follow:
 2> Configure Ethernet
⚫ Ethernet Port configuration
⚫ Select “Ethernet” --> “Port”
For example: port 5 connect to ceragon MW. The configuration is as follow:

⚫ Configure VLAN
⚫ Select “Ethernet” --> “VLAN”
For example: configure VLAN on port 5
3> Import Script
⚫ Telnet NR8961
Enter username: ztemw
Enter password: User1234
 ⚫ Copy the script from “8961 CLI Script (1+0&2+0)” and paste in CLI.
Note : 8961 CLI Script 1+0 is same as 8961 CLI Script 2+0
