Topic Opener Prayer: Lord, help us to apply the things that we will be learning from these weeks of learning. Thank you for this
privilege. I ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Philippine theater began just like any other genre of literature-with precolonial indigenous drama.
Objectives At the end of this week’s lesson, you are expected to:
 explain the relationship of context with the text’s meaning;
 appreciate the contribution of the canonical Filipino writers to the development of national literature.

2. PLAY TO PONDER
(You are tasked to answer the Guide Questions at the end part of the play “The Adopted Healthy Baby” on the powerpoint .
Write your answer to a clean sheet of pad/bond paper.)

(Choose a particular scene in any of your favorite Filipino movie/teleserye. Be able to perform your role well as it is to be
posted online. You can use the TikTok application to execute your performance or other editing platforms) Upload your
video on our facebook group (Posting caption format: Name, The Movie where the Scene you are portraying from, Your
Role)

(You are instructed to read “And the Water Flows in Tiniwasan” by Ma. Elena Paulma
“Literature in the Time of Tokhang” by Dr. Jose Dalisay Jr.) Powerpoint of this two literature will be uploaded in our
facebook group.
5. PAPA/MAMA’s TALE
(The instruction you will consider here is reflected in the Evaluation part of your Module which will serve as your first
activity to be placed in your PORTFOLIO. This activity will serve as your Portfolio 3)

Evaluation With the help of your parents (Mom or Dad) or your grandparents, what story do they usually narrated to you when you are
still young and until today. Please make your story as creative as possible. IN ENGLISH.Story must be at least 150 -200
words.

20 pts- work on the activities independently and diligently
15 pts- work on the activities with little help and diligently

writing and understanding the true essence of criticism. Help us to critic others with love. This we ask in the precious

Criticism plays a vital role not only in literature but in the culture itself. It has set the mode for certain eras and their
particular tendencies.
Objectives At the end of this week’s lesson, you are expected to:
 identify the geographic, linguistic, and ethnic dimensions of Philippine literary history from precolonial to
contemporary;
 value the contributions of local writers to the development of regional literary traditions;
 differentiate the various 21st century literary genres and the ones from the earlier genres or periods citing their
elements, structures and traditions.
