(c) QUALIFICATION

DISCIPLINE/TRADE ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION

 MECHANICAL ENGG. Must posses three years Diploma or Equivalent qualifications in
 ELECTRICAL ENGG. the relevant Discipline duly approved by AICTE
 CIVIL ENGG.

 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Must pass “A” Level competency certificate course

OR
Equivalent qualifications in Computer Science
From Institutions Duly recognized by Govt. of India
 CHEMICAL ENGG. B. Sc Degree with General Chemistry as one of the major
 METALLURGICAL ENGG. subjects from a UGC recognized University, OR , Three years
 CLOTHING TECHNOLOGY Diploma OR equivalent qualification in the respective field
duly approved by AICTE

N. B. Candidates’ appearing/appeared in the final examination of the essential qualifications are also eligible to apply
for the above posts conditionally and such candidates will be issued with ‘ Provisional Admit Card’ based on
their original Admit Card of the essential qualifications examination, duly verified by concerned recruiting
Factory.

(d) AGE Between 18 to 27 years (as on 07th. December’2007)

(e) Age Relaxation beyond 07-12-2007 (admissible for following categories ):

(i) For SC/ST Candidates Relaxation up to 5 (Five) years.

(ii) For OBC candidates Relaxation up to 3 (Three) years.
(iii) For PH(PC) candidates Relaxation up to 10 (Ten) years for Gen. Candidates.
Relaxation up to 15 (Fifteen) years for SC/ST
Candidates.
Relaxation up to 13 (Thirteen) years for OBC
Candidates.

(iv) For Ex-Serviceman candidates
(v) For Government Servants
Relaxation as per Govt. Rules that every Ex-Serviceman
who has put in not less than six months continuous
service in the Armed Forces of the Union shall be
allowed to deduct the period of such service from his
actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the
maximum age-limit prescribed for the post or service for
which he seeks appointment by more than three years, he
shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age-
limit ( To be computed from the last date of receipt of
application).
Relaxation up to 42 (Forty two) years of age, as on 07-
12-2007 for General candidates (U/R) and for SC/ST
candidates relaxation is as per (i) over and above 42
(Forty two) years of age.

(f) APPLICATION
(1) A candidate must apply directly to the concerned Senior General Manger/ General Manager of any of the above
mentioned 32 (Thirty two) factories according to availability of vacancies of desired trade/discipline and
reservation there in a prescribed format as given in the advertisement.
(2) The application should enclose the followings:
(i) Copies of requisite certificates/diploma/documents in support of Age (Date of Birth), Essential
Qualifications, Reservation Category etc. duly attested by a Central/State Govt. Gazetted Officer or
equivalent authority as per Govt. Rules.
(ii) Three recent self-attested passport size photographs, one of which is to be pasted on the space specified in
the application and others two are to be enclosed separately with the application.
(iii) Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) of value of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) in favour of the
respective Senior General Mangier/ General Manager of that factory where the candidate desires to apply.
However, Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH(PC) and Ex-serviceman need not send any Indian Postal
Order.
(3) The complete filled-in application along with the above enclosures should be directly send to the addressee in
an envelope superscripting with words (in capital letter) “CHARGEMAN GRADE-II (PROBATION) ”
(4) Departmental candidates/other Govt. employees should apply through proper channel.
(5) Incomplete application OR application received after last date of receipt, will automatically be rejected without
showing any reason. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
(6) Any attempt to bring in any influence by any candidate will be treated as disqualification.
(7) THE LAST DATE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION IS 07-12-2007 (07TH. DECEMBER’2007).

(g) PAY & ALLOWANCES - Rs. 5000.00 – 150.00 – 8000.00 per month with allowances as admissible, i.e. Basic
Pay, DA, DP, CCA, etc. No other allowances including PLB and OT will be admissible
during the Probation Period.

(h) SELECTION OF CANDIDATES

i. Selection will be made strictly on the merit of WRITTEN EXAMINATION of the candidates securing a
minimum qualifying marks of 50% (Fifty percent).
ii. If adequate no. of Reserved Candidates ( SC,ST,OBC, PH/PC, Ex. Serviceman) satisfying the minimum
qualifying standard is not available, short fall will be adjusted by relaxing the minimum standard. However,
no candidate obtaining below 35 % (thirty five percent) will be considered for selection.
iii. Candidates have to clear the MEDICAL EXAMINATION and WILL HAVE TO PRODUCE ALL
RELEVANT ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES/DOCUMENTS FOR VERIFICATION BEFORE ISSUE OF
APPOINTMENT LETTERS.
iv. Selected candidates will be permitted to join after satisfactory clearance of PVR
(i) SYLLABUS AND MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION
ONE PAPER (THREE HOURS DURATION)

 FOR ALL TRADE/ DISCIPLINES : (a) Common Objective Test on General Knowledge, General English
& Aptitude Test of Higher Secondary Standard.
(b) Objective Test on subjects of the essential qualification for
relevant discipline.
 MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION : ENGLISH or HINDI
(CHOICE TO BE INDICATED IN THE APPLICATION FORM. IN
ABSENCE OF INDICATION OF ANY CHOICE, IT WILL BE
CONSIDERED AS ENGLISH)

(j) TERMS

(a) BOND : The selected candidates will have to execute a BOND of Rs. 1,00,000.00
(Rupees One Lakh only) to serve the Department for five years after
completion of probation/training.
(b) ACCOMODATION : The trainees will be required to live in the Govt. Hostels/Bachelor’s
accommodation wherever it is provided and shall be charged up to 5% (five
percent) of their Basic Pay + DP as Residential.
(c) MESSING : All the trainees will be required to take food in the common dining room
of the Hostel. Bed and Apparels will be provided by the Ordnance Factories
Institute of Learning/Factory.
(d) OTHERS : As per Departmental Rules issued from time to time.

(k) JOINING

(i) The successful candidates, as per the merit list of the written examination and on the basis of trade-
wise/category-wise vacancy, will be issued Call Letters to report to the Senior General Manger/ General
Manager of the respective factory for appearing in the Medical Examination at the Hospital of the
respective Factory and verification of the original certificates/testimonials.

(ii) Selected candidates are required to join on 18-03-2008 (Joining Date in O.F.Organisation) for
training in one of the assigned Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning (OFIL) , (1) Ambajhari
(Nagpur, Maharsatra) (2) Avadi (Chennai, Tamil Nadu) , (3) Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), (4) Ishapore (West
Bengal) and (5) Khamaria (Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh) as per trade/discipline after getting the
Appointment Letters.

(l) DATE OF WRITTEN TEST

The written test will be held on 20-01-2008 (20th.January’2008) at the scheduled examination centres.
Name of the relevant examination center will be communicated to the candidates through the Admit
Card issued by the respective factory.

(m) APPOINTING AUTHORITY

The Sr. General Manger/General Manager of the concerned Ordnance/Ordnance Equipment

Factory is the Appointing Authority.
