UBS Welcomes Louise F. Gunderson to Flagship New York City Private Client Branch

Weehawken, N.J. – Feb. 24, 2011 – UBS Wealth Management Americas (WMA), a
division of UBS AG, today announced that Louise F. Gunderson and her team will join the
firm’s flagship New York City private client branch at 1285 Avenue of the Americas.

Gunderson is one of the top women financial advisors in the country, having been on the
Barron’s Top 100 Women Financial Advisors lists from 2007 through 2010. She is one of
the top rated female advisors in the state of New York, appearing on the Barron’s
“America’s Top Advisers: State by State” lists from 2009 through 2011, with
approximately $650 million in client assets under management.

Gunderson joins UBS after six years with Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management,
where she was a Managing Director of Investments. Prior to that, Gunderson spent 10
years with Bernstein Investment Research and Management as a Senior Financial Advisor
and Principal. Before Bernstein, Gunderson was Head of Private Banking at Republic
National Bank and Banca della Svizzera Italiana (BSI). She began her career at IBM and
then spent 18 years at Chemical Bank in the credit, private banking and retail divisions.

At UBS, Gunderson will be Managing Director – Investments. Jeffrey S. Embree, Vice

President – Investments, also joins the firm with Gunderson.

Gunderson serves on the Auxiliary Board of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York and the
Board of Overseers at the Duke Cancer Institute in Durham, North Carolina. She also
acted as a mentor in Merrill Lynch’s Women’s Exchange program and participates in the
PENCIL Principal for a Day program with the New York City public school system.

Gunderson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Trinity College in

Washington, D.C. She currently resides in Manhattan and Southampton, New York with
her husband, Lee, and their two children, Laura and Nina.

