What is a Quality Policy?

In quality management a quality policy is a document jointly developed by manage

ment and quality experts to express the quality objectives of the organization,
the acceptable level of quality and the duties of specific departments to ensure
quality. Quality policy management is a long term strategic issue and often has
a 10 year scope.

o sets out some of the requirements for quality policies.[4]
An Organisation should have an Quality Policy. This policy is meant to be an out

be in line with the purpose and mission of the organisation or company it is wri
tten for. It also should be understandable by all members of the organisation, e
mployees, managers as well as other stakeholders.
