Dates available ;06/03; 27/03 Many Thanks to all who helped to prepare for and assist with the Archbishop’s visit last week, which seemed to go very well. (I know now how teachers feel when Ofsted arrive!) I guess the fact that I’m still here means we must be doing something well. Please continue to pray for the Archbishop as he approaches an enforced lay-off due to his operation. Holy Hour Each Friday between 7 - 8pm there is an hour of quiet prayer and meditation in the presence of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament - something of an oasis of silence at the end of a busy week. From next week, the first Holy Hour of each month will be to pray especially for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life. Pope Benedict, in his address for Vocations Sunday said that ‘the ability to foster Vocations is a hallmark of the vitality of a local Church’ and is a task for us all to foster in our families and parishes. We will pray, then, for those who have already responded to the Lord’s call and those, especially in our own area, who may be thinking of doing so. I hope you will be able to find time to join in this important task.
