Re: Municipal Property Court ofRecord No.9

To Whom It May Concern:

I am interested in being considered for the full-time judge's position

for the Municipal Property Court ofRecord No.9. As an Associate
Municipal Court Judge, I have demonstrated a commitment to excellence by
devoting extra hours to unpaid training both in the courtroom and classroom,
starting my dockets in a timely manner, and treating defense counsel and
prosecutors with common decency and respect. I believe that in order for
this new court to be a success, the City ofDallas will need to appoint
someone not only with experience but also willing to spend the additional
time to insure that processes are established.
During the last 19 years, I have had an extensive legal practice,
including both civil and criminal litigation. I have tried civil cases with
juries and before the court. The depth and breadth ofmy. legal experience,
particularly my experience as an Associate Municipal Court Judge and
administrative judge, allows me to hear all cases without a particular bias for
or against one side, in a fair, neutral and impartial manner. My recent
training at the National Judicial College (Conducting the Trial- September,
2004) and the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center (November 2004)
ensure that I have the judicial temperament and skills to preside over cases
that will be heard in the Municipal Property Court. Moreover, I have
reviewed Ordinance 25927 which establishes the Court and its jurisdiction.

Re: Municipal Property Court ofRecord No.9

To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter ofrecommendation in support of Ms. Stad Williams' application for a
position with the Municipal Court of Dallas.

Through my knowledge of Ms. Williams as an arbitrator, I know that her primary concern is conducting a
full, fair and impartial hearing. She treats all parties and witnesses appearing before her with respect and
has an uncanny ability to explain law to non-lawyers in a concise, understandable way.

I believe that Ms. Williams is competent not only to handle the jurisdictional issues handled by the
Municipal Court but also the temperament to interact with those who utilize the Municipal Court.

Ifyou need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
