Lisa Lambert of Auburn and Michael
Lenz were married on Aug. 14, 2010 at the
Flower Farm Inn in Loomis.
Lisa shares some of the details about
her special day.
When and how did Michael propose?
Michael proposed on a pier in San
Francisco in December of 2009. I was so
excited I yelled out “I just got engaged!” to
everyone standing by the Christmas tree
on the pier.
What are some of the special details that
made your wedding and reception unique?

The wedding planning was crazy! We Our families helped with much of the your wedding and reception unique?
I picked the colors based on James’
Marine blue uniform — clover green and
Marine blue. James’ sister Simone created
the most amazing blue and green invita-
tions. We were married at the Parkside
Church of the Nazarene, James’ family
church. We had 513 guests!
We had a photo booth for favors. There
was a groom’s cake made by Divine
Desserts that represented the Dark Horse,
James’ Marine battalion. First dance was
to Adam Sandler’s “Grow Old With You.”
What are some of your favorite memo-
ries from that day?
Our favorite memories are our fathers’
speeches, my bridesmaids dancing in
their cowboy boots, 14 bridesmaids
escorted by eight Marines and grooms-
men (two girls for every guy), the poor
photographer trying to organize a wed-
ding party of 26, being honored by family
from all over the place and many dear
friends.
We are so lucky and blessed. Our wed-
ding was really a perfect day. It was meant
to be. There was a little temptation to take
the money our parents offered us instead
of a big wedding, but it is the day we will
