Seventh-day Adventists Believe CD-ROM -- Study Kit

The Seventh-day Adventist Church detains a rich legacy of Bible truths either received
from the Christian Church throughout History, or developed with intense prayerful study
of the Bible. This, however, will practically have no value unless every person get
acquainted with these doctrines and incorporate it in their daily lives so that it will really
fulfill its purpose, which is to bring people to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

For this end, the book Seventh-day Adventists Believe was prepared, which is a clearer,
complete and validated exposition of the 27 fundamental beliefs of the Seventh-day
Adventist Church, as were summarized at the General Conference Session held in 1980,
with the addition of the doctrine about Growing in Christ, which was made explicit by the
General Conference Session in 2005.

This CD-ROM contains visual presentations and other resources in English, Portuguese
and Spanish to aid in the study, understanding, and preaching of these fundamental
beliefs. Since learning takes place mainly through the vision than through any of the
other senses, the visual presentations (PowerPoint) constitute an invaluable help for
speeches, sermons, or even for individual study about the 28 fundamental beliefs.

The additional texts and tools may also be extremely helpful at different occasions, but
it’s worth mentioning the Bible Study set created especially to prepare people for
baptism, following the doctrinal standard synthesized in the book Seventh-day
Adventists Believe. They are short studies, all of them comprising exactly 10 questions or
topics, which direct the student to Bible texts that are clear and adequate to justify each
aspect of the doctrine being studied.

Therefore, this CD-ROM was prepared with the purpose of bringing Adventist Christians
to a deeper relationship with Christ, through the study of the Bible. And it will also serve
to help those who are interested in learning why we believe what we believe, or in other
words, to edify the church, preserve the truth, and communicate the gospel in all its
richness.

Content

The Seventh-day Adventists Believe CD-ROM – Study Kit contains:

• 28 PowerPoint Presentations – Each presentation corresponds to a chapter of

the book. Note that in a level above chapters, the book is divided into six sessions
and the slides for all chapters within the same session have the same predominant
background color, which will help to give a sense of entirety to each one of the
doctrinal divisions, and will also be esthetically helpful to those who may wish to
summarize or merge several presentations within the same session, with the
purpose of showing the entire content in less than 28 presentations.
• 28 Bible Studies – There are several sets of Bible Studies among Adventists, and
you certainly do appreciate and use of one of them. But this new set has a
differentiation: it follows the order in which the topics are presented in the book
Seventh-day Adventists Believe, and it treats all subjects with equilibrium,
simplicity, and depth, using Bible texts that are clear and unquestionable, and in
addition it is short (all the studies present only ten questions or topics). With these
Bible Studies, you will already prepare the baptismal candidate following the
Adventist Bible doctrinal standard.
• Poster – Contains fields to be filled out: place, address, date and time of the
meetings. Once it is filled out, you may print as many copies as needed to
announce the Bible Study meetings.
• Certificate – Contains fields to be filled out so that each person who has attended
most of the Bible Study meetings on the Fundamental Beliefs may receive a
Certificate.
• Help – This very text with information and help may be accessed through this
button on the menu.
• Credits – Contains information about the Brazil Publishing House and the name
of people who worked directly in the preparation of this product.

performance of the presentation, in case the speed of the CD drive is too
low.

Secondary Menu, the corresponding Article, in PDF format, will immediately be
open on Acrobat Reader. From there you may print it, selecting the number of

address, date and time of the Bible Study meetings and print as

also through the help button on the submenu. The file is on
Microsoft Word format, ready to be printed, if you wish.

CD-ROM. In rare cases, when it is copied into the HD (Hard Disk) it may offer an
improved performance in showing the presentations.
The program runs on Microsoft Windows environment. It is dependent on
Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word, both of which should be installed in
the computer that will be used with this CD-ROM.

8. No to Piracy. This CD-ROM was produced by the Brazil Publishing House, as

requested by the Ministerial Association of the General Conference of the
Seventh-day Adventist Church. To duplicate this CD-ROM is an illegal act or
fraud, both under human laws (it is a punishable crime) and before the sovereign
law of God. If you need, please buy additional copies of the CD-ROM. Then you
will have a better quality product, for a lower price than a workmanship copy, you
will not wear out your equipment and, best of all, you will be in peace with your
own conscience and with God.
