Dear sir,

We address you as a final place to voice a serious grievance and to draw your attention to the undiplomatic and
politically bias behavior of the EU Ambassador to Macedonia, His Excellency Erwan Fouere and certain other
Am...bassadors of the EU countries in Republic of Macedonia, most specifically: her excellency Simone Filipini,
accredited ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands in our country. These individuals regularly step outside the
frames of their diplomatic status, according to the Vienna convention, behaving as para-political actors in our country.

Worthless are our efforts as journalists and public figures to point out to these diplomats that with their undiplomatic
behavior discredits and compromises the European foreign policy and the countries that they are representing. Both
our private and public critiques seem to fall of deaf ears. They simply don't want to hear our arguments. Furthermore,
they avoid our requests for meetings, interviews and even private talks. In view of this fact, it comes to us as no
surprise when the European assessments of our country are wholly one sided; these same individuals see and represent
but one side and one side only.

The Republic of Macedonia is a small country and every politically informed person knows the daily routine of the
EU ambassador Fouere. His "free-minded" and "pro-European" associates from Macedonia are shamelessly
congratulating themselves when they succeed, through some report of Mr. Fouere or the MEP Zoran Thaler, to cause
damage to the Government that they consider as their enemy. There interest is not to represent all the facts about
Macedonia, simply those that play into their private intentions to harm this particular, democratically elected
administration. EU Ambassador Fouere's manner of conducting business does damage to all of us. His Macedonian
informants and associates say that they are masters in creating perception. Their manipulation game is a great success
for them now.

Our hope, in sending you this letter is to peek your curiosity, to ask you to begin to question whether indeed an
objective picture of our country is being placed before you. Our hope would be for you to receive unbiased and
politically neutral information about the Republic of Macedonia; this hope will hardly be possible if your information
is coming from biased and political sources. With clear assessments and correct information, you will be better
equipped to help us along as we build our country and our democracy.

Our society is far from perfect. A long path is in front of us with many complex problems that we need to resolve. We
are aware that in some areas we need to overcome decades in order to move closer to the developed European
societies. In order to be successful in this attempt, that is in our national and state interest, we need not only political
will, but also the will in the society in the implementation of reforms.
...
Unfortunatel y, in our country for two decades there is a heavy struggle with the socially entrenched,
established, anti-reform groups that remain at the heart of the judiciary, education system, health system, media and
the political parties. It is paradoxical that the citizens are ready for substantial reforms, even after two decades of
transition. There was a lot of talk about that during the times of socialist Yugoslavia and in the past two decades. But,
realistically, tangible, substantial reforms began happening in the last 5 years.

Actually, that is the only reason (except the ongoing problem with the name) because this young political generation
in power still has the biggest support among the citizens. We are amazed and dismayed at the this fact seems to mean
nothing to EU Ambassador Fouere.
For us, it is very difficult to understand that the ambassador representing the EU, along with some of his colleagues,
have not once congratulated this government on a job well done. Neither have they ever criticized those t...hat were
obstructing the transformation of the country, if they think that their job is to criticize. On the contrary, regularly they
join in with those who are obstructing every reform project in the judiciary, education, health, fight against the
corruption and organized crime, the efforts of inter - ethnic integration. These are the same people that during
communism were the social elite and they are the ones who have put us in this very position of needing to make these
reforms.

Starting with this, we are wondering is the EU just formally (nominally) putting us conditions for achieving certain
status, but factually (in the reality) through their representatives in this country guides secret policy that aims us not to
fulfill, and afterwords just to have a formal excuse to keep us far from the euro integration. Are the EU representatives
in place to somehow provide a formal excuse to keep us from formal euro integration?

Our hope with this letter is to encourage a discussion within the European Parliament as to the role of your EU
Ambassadors. For us it is not important to which political group you belong. We are appealing to your honor,
objectivity and dedication to building the EU. We ask from your representatives just to respect the people in the
country in which they serve, not to implement double standards, to respect our country, the Republic of Macedonia.

Republic of Macedonia is not so far away that we do not know European policies and European values. The Macedon
ian nation, even it has not reached the standards of some of your societies, is not so unenlightened as to not not
understand the difference between a good-will critic and vulgar attempts of some European diplomats (and politicians)
to humiliate, to dispute the right to referendum, to early elections and to "sell" it as "freedom of media" a flagrant
violation of the laws, to encourage a criminal behavior of certain VIP structure that is unthinkable in any other
European country.

With respect your work in the European parliament, we thank you for your consideration of our letter. Each one of us
is at your disposal for any questions that you might have and for further discussion.

Sincerely Yours,
