Introduction
Very often we have seen the good the bad and the interesting part of communication
throughout the last 40 years. This communication technology has merged to make a good
connection all around the world. Matters like education, business, political views and
health have been benefit for the communication systems that now we have. Some of them
are going to be clarified in this essay.

ICT

ICT stands for information and communication technologies. ICT system it’s a way
to attach communications and integrate telecommunications. In simple words this
system tries to make easier communication throw internet access. Information
technology means software that help to manage information for a reason.

In ICT communication it’s very important because it’s the way that it can provide
the information that we need. It’s mostly used in educational purpose. For example,
people used this system to provide information to schools around the world. ITLA
virtual it’s an ICT web page for online learning and capacitation, its power by
Moodle.
Some of the technologies that the ICT use several gadgets and software. Some of
them are:

− Fax

− GPS

− Call center

− Digital radio

− Teletext

− Wearable computer

− Digital TV

The connections of ICT system use generally Wi-Fi, VoIP system, internet, intranet
and others. Is very significant that the connection it’s constant because the
information only can get to the remote places through the connections.

Channels of communications

Since telecommunications refer to the transmission of signals over a

distance for communicate each other we can say that the channels are made to
accomplish this goal. Telecommunications are part of our daily life and we used it
all the time.

For example people call each other by mobile phones. Also we send faxes
from japan to Dominican Republic. Teletext it’s a system that allow transmit and
receive information by using TV signals, then the signal is translated into words.
 Another channel of communication is Digital TV. This technology transmits
pictures by digital signals. Why is it different?? Because is more interactive then
the other conventional signal. For example we can pay-per-view; programs are
broadcast in a native 16:9 format, which let the image be better.

Also viewing digital TV in our mobile phone is possible with DMB (Digital
Multimedia broadcasting) and DVB-H (Digital Video Multimedia Broadcast-
handheld). Music, vocal news and sports transitions can also be delivered through
mobile phones by DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting).

GPS technology is delivered by satellite connection. Using webpages like

Google maps and our GPS device we can find out where we are, how to get to
different places and even the GPS can tell us how to do it. An additional
communication technology is the wearable computers. These gadgets allow us to
do everything we can do on our computer but it’s as wearable as our watch. They
hace keypad, WIFI, small screen and is cool.

VoIP technology
Voice over Internet Protocol is VoIP. The simplest way of define what VoIP is that
transmit voice though IP networks. Even that IP was created only for data, with
time voice is part of it. Programs like Skype, Magic jack, Ooma, No-monthly-bill-
service or Phonegnome. Frequently these services are free computer to computer
calls and a very low price when we call computer to phone.

The recipient doesn’t need any special tools. The software, a microphone, a sound
card, speakers or headset and internet connection it’s all we need to use VoIP in
our computer. The internet connection should be fast enough to make the call. By
ATA(analog telephone adaptor) that is an analog to digital converter it can let you
connect internet to use VoIP.

Like in any other kind of network in VoIP we have spam, and its call spit. SPIT is
Spam over Internet Telephony and is quite bothering to the users of VoIP tech.

Mobile phone

My aunt always says to my mom “tu siempre andas incomunicada”, in

English is you are never communicated referring that she don’t use her cell phone.
In North America 95 % of the population have a mobile phone. But, what is mobile
phone and what else can we do with it now??
 Mobile phones are a phone connected to the telephone system by radio,
rather than by a wire. Other source defined it as “an electronic device used to
make mobile telephone calls across a wide geographic area”. They contains a SIM
card, keypad, LCD screen, built-in camera, battery and in some cases changeable
faceplate.

In this days phone can do it all, from check your mail to broadcast. Generally
intelligent phones are very similar to a computer. You can send mails, make
financial transactions and log in in your favorite social media webpage.

Conclusion

Communication its part of our life. All the time we are using it and trying to make it
better. ICT, channels of communication, VoIP and mobile phones are just starting
to be powerful and to contribute to good of men kind. We all can help develop a
better communication for a better life.
