Workshops Co-ordinator – Job Description

Job Title WORKSHOPS CO-ORDINATOR

Reporting To Project Director

Location Fife Diet offices (Burntisland) with travel throughout Fife

Start Date Subject to funding, the post will start as soon as possible
after April 1st 2011 and run until 31st March 2012.

Salary £24,000 pa

Hours of Work 37.5 hours per week including regular evening & weekend
work

Additional Terms 3-month probationary period, access to a stakeholder


pension scheme (no employer contributions, however this
is reflected in the salary), holiday entitlement is pro rata
28 days.

Role Profile

The Workshops Co-ordinator will have full responsibility for the planning and
delivery of a programme of cooking workshops throughout Fife, delivered by
facilitators including cooks, chefs and bakers. The workshops are aimed at Fife Diet
members and the wider non-engaged public.

The team work very closely together and this position reports directly to the Project Director.

The post holder will also assist in the planning and delivery of a series of five Special Events
throughout the year.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
DELIVER PROGRAMME OF COOKING WORKSHOPS

• Co-ordinating and delivering the programme of Cooking Workshops


• Liaising with Workshop facilitators to deliver successful workshops
• Designing and producing event materials where relevant
• Advertising and promoting the workshops to ensure full take up
• Managing the available budget for workshops (including petty cash, facilitators fees
and service invoices etc)
• Sourcing and supplying ingredients
• Identifying and booking appropriate venues
• Attending each workshop to support the facilitator as required
• The creation and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation system
• Evaluating and reporting progress in line with Fife Diet objectives
• Post holder will be responsible for all aspects and practical detail of the workshops

OTHER EVENTS

• Assisting the Project Director in the delivery and documentation for the 5 exceptional
events scheduled throughout the year

• Liaising directly with Adam Smith students to co-ordinate digital film-making

OTHER ACTIVITIES

• Uploading recipe bank to Fife Diet website


• Other duties as required to support the work of the project
