About the Institute: International Institute of Stress Management and
Allied Sciences ( IISMAAS ) is one of the premier Institutes run by
Self-Actualisation Society ( Regn. No-S-55646 ) , which conducts
stress management programmes and courses on balancing work life
for higher productivity. IISMAAS is conducting in-house workshops/
programmes to help the participants in identifying and managing their
stress through scientifically devised techniques. IISMAAS has got a
number of international experts on stress management. It has got a
complete professionalism and competence to help the participants in
balancing their work life by managing their stress in a systematic
manner and rejuvenating them for new challenges. In the past, partici-
pants from Damodar Valley Corporation, NTPC, Airports Authority of
India, SAIL, Satya Institute of Management and Technology and Am-
buja Cement have participated in the programmes conducted by IIS-
MAAS and have been fully satisfied with the programme. IISMAAS has
collaborated with MD University Rohtak for carrying out teaching and
stress management programmes.
About the Venue City: The Conference is being organised in beautiful
city of Delhi, which is Capital of India and hub of academic and re-
search activities. The weather in April is pleasant and does not require
heavy clothes. Jawaharlal Nehru University is world renowned univer-
sity.
Significance of the Conference: Stress is no doubt one of the most
prevalent problems of modern society. It is responsible for large num-
ber of physical illnesses and loss of revenues and precious resources.
The IISMAAS is working dedicatedly towards the elimination of this
problem from our day-to-day life. Various organizations have identified
this problem and approached IISMAAS for its effective management.
Looking at the importance of the subject, IISMAAS announces its
FIRST “ International Conference on Stress: Health, Society and
Technology ( ICONS-HST ) ” from 20 -21 April, 2011 .

Sessions and Oral/Poster Presentation: The technical sessions will be
comprised of invited lectures from eminent international and national
scientists and contributory papers from academicians, scien-
tists, professionals and students. Selection of research articles will be
decided for oral/poster presentation by Scientific Advisory Committee.
The conference proceedings will be published.
Themes: The objective of the Conference is to stimulate interest among ICONS-HST
researchers, students, managers and health care providers. The aim will be International Conference on Stress:
to provide a platform to share the latest information on stress and its
