PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Nokia Siemens Networks, Bangalore

Software Engineer | Java/J2EE developer April 2010 – Present
NetAct Transport is a next-generation management solution for managing large scale optical transport
networks for data carriers. I worked as a part of the R&D development team working on realizing network
topologies and common application components for this product.
Accomplishments:
 Successfully able to scale the steep and demanding learning curve as required by the team, and was
productive within a matter of weeks of commencement.
 Actively involved in all phases of development, including prototyping, analysis brainstorming, design
and implementation. Provided various innovative ideas toward the same, which were well received.
 Equal exposure to both server-side coding (DB, business logic) and client-side coding (XHTMLs,
JavaScript, Managed Beans).
 Contributed to enhancing product stability and performance, via exploratory testing, and subsequent
bug fixes. Also contributed to process improvements in the form of automated installation scripts.
 Developed automated configuration data generators (using Java/JAXB and bash scripts) to simplify the
process of simulating load scenarios for the application. It has been very well received and continues to
be used across teams.
 Launched and coordinated a novel initiative called Tech Fridays, which aimed at providing a weekly
forum for technical knowledge sharing, thereby enhancing competence and technical know-how across
teams.
