AltiGen Training Syllabus

1) Personal Greeting
Pick up your phone and dial #11.
Enter your password.
To record a greeting, choose option 1.
To record your standard greeting, choose option 2.
Press # when you’ve finished speaking your message.
Wait to verify the greeting by pressing # again, or the system will not record it.

To record your name, choose option 2.

Again, press # twice to save your recording.

So that the system will use the greeting you recorded:

- choose option 3
- press 2 to select your personal standard greeting.

2) Voice Mail
To access voice mail, pick up your phone and press ##.
Enter your password.

To access voice mail from outside the office, dial the main number and press # at
the auto attendant.
Enter your extension number, then your password.

3) Call Transfer
Blind Transfer
To transfer a call to another extension, press FLASH and the extension.
Hanging up transfers the call.

Supervised Transfer
To talk to your coworker before you send the call, stay on the line when you press
FLASH + extension.
Once they agree to accept the call, hang up your phone.
If they choose not to accept the call, press FLASH again to retrieve the call.

4) Transfer to Voice Mail

To transfer a call to someone’s voice mail, press FLASH + ## + extension
number.

5) Personal Call Park

To park a call at a specific extension, press FLASH + #31 + extension.
The recipient has two minutes to pick up the call.
After two minutes, the call will ring back to the extension that parked the call.
 If no answer, the call will obey the call handling features for the destination
extension set up on AltiView.

6) System Call Park

To park a call on the system, press FLASH + #41.
Wait for the system to assign an ID number, such as ‘00’, ‘01’, etc.
The recipient will press #41 + ID number at any phone to pick up the call.

7) Do Not Disturb
To block your phone from ringing, pick up your phone and press #33.
To turn off DND, pick up your phone and press #33 again.
THIS DOES NOT TURN YOUR PHONE OFF. You can still make calls.

8) Call Forwarding
To forward your calls to another extension, pick up your phone and press #36.
Enter your password.
Enter the destination extension.
To turn off call forwarding, press #36 again.

9) Remote Call Forwarding

If you get stuck somewhere else in the building for a while, press #37 + your
extension + your password to forward calls to the remote phone.
To turn call forwarding off, press #37 plus your extension again.

10) Conference Call

To make a conference call, get the first party on the phone first.
Press FLASH.
Make the second call.
Once the caller answers, press # to connect all the calls.
