Message from Mr. Jagmohan Bhanot

Dear Friends,

It is a matter of great satisfaction that the Oragnising Committee Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 has taken a lead
to give the environment highest priority. The ensuing Commonwealth Games have been declared as the ‘first ever Green
Commonwealth Games’. We have taken number of initiatives to create awareness about the conservation of environment
such as extensive plantation drive along the national sector of the Queen’s Baton Relay 2010 Delhi, sustainable planning of
the competition venues, awareness activities to effect behavioral changes among the citizens of Delhi.
Concern for the environment is actually a concern for our sustainable and healthy life. Everybody can do a bit in this regard. I am sure
our sincere efforts will help us in making the Green Games a big success.

Best Wishes
