Fighting In Urban Areas

I prefer guerrilla operations in rural areas mountain tops, caves, rolling hills
, forest, rivers and lakes all of which are located in most Areas of Operation.
Amazing what you can find with a geological map. I realize for some it would be
too hard to separate themselves from their families for the greater good and wil
l be defending a smaller area in an urban center.
Urban areas do provide some advantages. It is unlikely (unless martial law is de
clared) that the guberment will use the military to carry out major operations.
If they were to use the military this would cause the powers to face a powder ke
g of people including the far left radicals, anarchists, far right conservatives
, tea partiers, white supremacist and anyone else who sees this as a opportunity
to shape society into their vision of utopia. In the confusion this is the time
for us Black Revolutionaries to capitalize on(use your imagination). Well back
to the advantages, no military leader wants to send their soldiers into urban ar
ea. City buildings provide cover and concealment, buildings block fields of fire
, they limit observation severely, it is also hard to get conventional artillery
on a target if the surrounding buildings are in the way.
In military books I read the strategy that most modern militaries will use in an
urban environment is to find the tallest building, in the center of the city an
d set up operations. Towers are the place where they will store their ammunition
; this is also the same place where they will try to observe your movements. In
other words donâ t go into any high rise buildings the will send random teams to roof
tops to attack on the way down then later move up and set up as a operation post
s sometimes for only a day.
Most city fighters (as read in books) will tell you that capturing enemy supplie
s is risky. They will tell you that most materials are from internal stockpiles
so in other words brothers and sisters what you have on hand is all you got, so
stock up. So the rule of thumb is donâ t get involved in long drawn out battles becau
se your supplies will run out quickly. Capturing anything for your own personal
use sometimes does not work and should not be part of your plan. I was watching
the TV which I rarely do and the US government planted ammunition in certain are
as during the Vietnam War, the first few rounds would fire fine then boom then g
un would explode because of a few random round that placed that would detonate d
o to a bad primer.
Yes an AK has its place but the urban environment is not it. I would as others r
ecommended the .308 caliber or higher. Ideally you would want to place a few acc
urate long range shots, and then move from the area to discourage and demoralize
the enemy. No matter how carefully planned an ambush is with 5 to 10 guys with
AKs is no match for a hunter or a well trained rifleman 600 to 700 yards out. Th
ere are numerous options including the AR-10 platform, HK rifles, and bolt actio
ns.
Do NOT keep your firearms or anything even remotely military in your own home, c
ache it. With that cache your food in multiple spots because in martial law it i
s illegal to hoard food, they will destroy it.
