Our Mission: CASA of Travis County exists to promote and protect the best interest of

children who have been abused or neglected, by training volunteers to advocate for them in
courts, in schools and in our community to help them find safe, permanent and loving homes.

CASA of Travis County is appointed by judges to make recommendations to the

court in the best interest of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse
or neglect. We accomplish this with the help of community volunteers who have been sworn-in
by a judge. Our CASA volunteers are trained and committed adults who stand by the children’s
side, watch over their case and ensure that they remain a priority in an overburdened legal
and social service system. CASA volunteers are often the only constant and caring presence

involved from beginning to end during a child’s case.
