Hello Girls,
Here we are 2011 another year gone and another to look forward to. We hope that you all had a lovely Christmas with your families
and a great New Year with lots of good cheer. We hope that we will have plenty of exciting classes to keep you busy and enthused.
This year we will again be stricter, classes are to be paid on booking and bookings must be made at least one week in advance, to give
us time to get the kits, patterns or designs ready for the class. If it is an embroidery class then please come and pick up the design for
that class before hand if possible, this gives us more time to sew without trying to download everybody’s machine which takes up a
considerable amount of time.
The patchwork classes, one class in advance, no refunds, we have to pay our tutors and if you book in and then don’t feel like coming
that particular day, then we are out of pocket, as the teacher still has to be paid, we hope that you understand our position.

In the Teens and Betweens classes the girls learn dressmaking from cutting out
patterns to completing the garment. Classes are limited to six in a class

 This year Diane is going to teach a quilt that has been designed by Leonie and Bill West of Westalee Designs, designers
of Quilting Tools. You can if you wish enter your quilt when finished in a competition and win up to $250.00 in
products. Leonie and Bill will be providing us with the patterns, and you will have to purchase the occasional ruler
if you do not have it for a particular square, there will be over 100 blocks to choose from, so, if you don’t like a
particular square, you don’t have to make it, just choose another one.

5D SOFTWARE INTRODUCTION
Time 9.30 – 1.00 Cost $25.00 (refundable on purchase)
Cheryl will be here today to introduce 5D software, as usual
she will also impart her wealth of knowledge and ideas to
us. 5D is the latest in software, it has a lot of new features, is
very user friendly and lots of fun. There are also many new
products, new designs etc. Come and be excited.
Friday February 4th
SWIRLING ROSES QUILT – GERALDINE
Times 6.30 – 9.00 Class cost $25.00
You all asked for a Friday night class with Geraldine. For
this class you will need to purchase the book and CD for
Swirling Roses cost $125.00, also the fabrics and threads, if
interested please give us enough time to order the books so
that they are here for you ready to start. For the class you
will need all sewing accessories rotary cutter and board,
ruler, embroidery machine, threads. Call in before the class
so that you can transfer the designs onto your USB or Cards.
Please note this class will be held every First Friday
evening of the month.

KIDS CAN SEW – Dress
Time 10.00 – 12.00, 1.00- 3.00
Cost Kit & Class $30.00
The weather is hot and a dress is always handy. You will
have to provide us with a new set of measurements as the
children will have grown and we don’t want to upset them
with a garment that doesn’t fit.

CUTWORK TABLECLOTH & NAPKINS
Times 9.30 – 12.30, 1.30 – 4.30, 6.30 – 9.30.
Cost Class $25.00
Kit $25.00 Design CD. $115.00
You will be making a Table runner first so that you get to
practice the technique before you start on a large cloth. You
will then need to work out which table you wish to make the
cloth for also let us know if you wish to use cream or white,
so that we have enough fabric in store for you, you will need
Fabric, Floriani stabilizers, embroidery thread, marking
pens, all sewing accessories.
Friday February 11th
BROTHER CLUB - ONGOING
Time 10.00 - 3.00 Cost Class and kit $35.00
Brother Club is available for ladies with Brother Embroidery
machines to help you learn more about your machines.
There will be a project each class teaching you techniques,
placement and full use of your machine. This is all day from
10.00am - 3.00pm with a break for lunch.
