Namaste Luis...

Here is a summary of my experience with your beautiful farm!

On arriving I was received by Carlos Bustamante who was very helpful in explaining and teaching the meaning of the
relevant sanskrit mantras. I felt that the meeting was integral to the outcome of my total experience. The meeting with
Rachel Goldfarb...another wwoofer like myself...was also encouraging for my temporary stay. Rachel explained the
practical and physical side to the farm...her work on melgas were impressive and created a template of the work to be
done. The goal was to complete one melga a day but I chose to work with more concentration and precision rather than
speed as I did not want to exhaust myself or make any mistakes with accuracy.

My meetings with Carlos and Rachel were short lived and so with a couple days passed I was working and chanting
alone...Luis foresaw this situation and explained that internally we are born alone and die alone...and reflecting on the
naturalness of these circumstances in the mind it would be easier to work alone when you find yourself in such a situation.

I was motivated by such comments although I still found early experiences challenging trying to maintain 2 hours of
mantras in the morning and 2 hours in the early evening. With reflection again and a conversation with Luis...it was
understood that I maybe finding it difficult because of the unfamiliarity of the practice...in other words my conditioning
through life had not prepared me for such practices...with this in mind I became remotivated and more committed.

Once I stopped analysing about the practice and just accepted it...I found myself improving with piece of mind and
simultaneously my energy levels heightened. In other words my sore throat disappeared and I did not feel so lathargic...a
possible moment of mystical synchronisation could of been at work here?!

The thought of chanting the mantras...with the words stirring and evoking deep latent sensitivities...I felt had a positive
impact with my motivational drive or energy. I had been there one week and was fortunate to witness and participate the
fifth annual seed fayre with lectures and spiritual demonstrations. With all the fault of mine not learning how to speak
Chilean spanish I was full of gratitude when various Chilean persons made the effort to speak English with me on this
special day...I now know my experience would have been very much improved if I had learned some or even much of the
native tongue. I was honoured and delighted with the invitation to perform...with three others...the sunset agni hotra in the
mandala...and was fortunate to have sat East directly in front of the setting sun. So much energy was accumulated
throughout this day...it was truly magical! Muchos gracias Luis. And a thankyou to the trainee Hare Krisna Dani for giving
the visitors the moving sound of the didgeridoo...fantastico!

That late afternoon we had an unexpected visitor...Roger form the USA...Luis asked me to teach Roger the spiritual and
physical practices. I found this quite challenging as the practices were still quite new to me...although with reflection I was
grateful for the opportunity and learned more about weaknesses and strengths of my character. It was great to have a
companion which balanced out the first week of my working alone.

The third week I was fortunate to meet yet more Amerian wwoofers...two females...Amenee and Catherine...again balance
came to mind with the result of four wwoofers working together. This was an interesting meeting...lots of discussions on
the beauty of the practices and the farm. In fact I became overwhelmed with joy and had an outbreak of laughter during the
sapta sloki mantra...no real harm done to my karma.

The concept of cold showers was a challenge for me...although with practice the idea became easier to accept. It made
me aware of the present moment as I became distracted from thought everytime I turned the tap. With practice I adapted
and actually felt quite refreshed after a good shower. Maybe it has something to do with encouraging a better flow of
circulation around the body?!

The residents of the farm were very hospitable...with an abundance of hand picked fruit and vegetables and great healthy
food cooked by the lovely and energetic Kika. With helpfulness and humour provided by Luis and Kikas two sons.

In all...I spent almost 3 weeks at the ECHO Homa farm...it was a wonderful experience...I am more aware of natures
cycles and I feel a step closer to reaching certain peace...I will continue to practice what I have been fortunate enough to
witness and learn...incorporating other spiritual practices I have learned. A big thankyou to the cosmos for guiding me to
your farm and to you Luis!

Los firmantes de este documento, certifican conocer la parcela donde la Eco Granja Homa de Olmué - ECHO
desarrolla su eco-actividades productivas y de difusión hacia la comunidad. Ella se ubica en la Av. Eastman
2402 de Olmué, V región, Chile.
La Eco Granja Homa de Olmué, ECHO, es un hermoso emprendimiento agrícola orgánico que la familia
propietaria ha puesto al servicio de la comunidad como medio de difusión de una sana práctica agrícola.
Conocemos sus técnicas orgánicas de cultivo, porque la hemos visitado y participado de sus Programas, como
Voluntarios Orgánicos, en la producción de frutales, cultivos de hortalizas y plantas y hierbas destinadas a la
salud, las cuales tienen cualidades organolépticas de alta calidad.
Sus técnicas están basadas en la Agricultura Orgánica y en el Método Homa cuyos protocolos observan los
ritmos circadianos, biodinámicos y estacionales del planeta, lo que permite mantener una atmósfera
(micro-biosfera) propicia a la vida vegetal.
La Práctica Agrícola Orgánica de la ECHO prescinde del uso de todo tipo aditivo químico o sintético en sus
campos. Sólo son utilizados abonos naturales, de origen animal o vegetal, y preparados bio protectores
para aumentar la inmunidad de las plantas y de sus defensas al ataque de los depredadores o plagas
existentes en el ambiente externo. Sus cultivos utilizan semillas orgánicas, en especial las que han sido
reproducidas en sus propios campos o trasplantes de plantas orgánicas de origen orgánico conocido.
Sus actividades agrícolas son complementadas con el uso de energías limpias a través de electricidad FV
producida por medio de paneles solares (luz habitacional, motobomba de agua y otros), calefactor solar de
agua, horno solar y deshidratador solar.
La Práctica o Terapia Homa que utiliza es una técnica holística, ayurvédica y natural que propende a
integrar al ser humano con la tierra, los animales, las plantas y el planeta. Su éxito esta basado en la
utilización de Mantras (sonidos de alta frecuencia) y la producción en una Atmósfera Homa de sustratos
nutrientes que se aplican tanto a la tierra como a sus espacios aéreos.
Sus actividades son desarrolladas protegiendo y conservando los recursos naturales locales, contribuyendo a
un desarrollo sustentable de nuestra sociedad y del medio ambiente.
