Devotional One, Read: God desires our worship all the time (not just on
Sundays). Read the following verses of scripture to see what worship is
and how you can make sure you’re doing what God wants.

51:16-17; Daniel 3:17-19; John 4:22-24
Devotional Two, Pray: Prayer is so important to our lives and our walk
with the Lord. We cannot worship Jesus in spirit and truth if we don’t
know how to pray correctly. Try and pray at least twice today using the
ACTS method. A—acknowledge who God is, C—confess your sin, T—
thank God for all the blessings (especially forgiveness He offers through
salvation), S—ask God to SUPPLY your needs and needs of others.

Devotional Three, Mold: Paul and Silas used the tough situation to be
molded into excited worshipers. They could have complained and
doubted God but instead they worshiped. Use playdough or clay to mold
the story while at the same time asking God to mold you into someone
who worships no matter how difficult the situation.
Mold Paul & Silas in the jail, make an earthquake, mold the jailer, act
out the part of the jailer and his family becoming followers of Jesus.
Devotional Four, Build: Build a scene from 2 Samuel 6:1-23 using
Legos, Duplos, Mega Blocks, or some other kind of building toy. See if
you can use these blocks to get all of the details right. Talk with your
parents about how this story might relate to the one we learned on
Sunday.

Devotional Five, Sing: I love hymns. Hymns are songs that people might have been singing for hundreds of years. One of my favorites is “ O Wor-
ship the King” With your parent’s help, look up this song on the internet or in a hymn book. See if you can find the story behind the song. Talk
about this song and what it means. A good resource is “www.cyberhymnal.org,” you can listen and read the lyrics and read about the hymn. See if
you can sing the hymn once you’re finished learning about it.
