Youth, Strategies and Reflections In Nations Development Acceleration

Benedict Anderson, an Indonesianist revealed that Indonesia's history is the history of

independence, every change and every development direction of a nation. Because youth who
have a true patriotic nature; owner of idealism, surge, endurance and fighting spirit and strong
(physically or mentally), the younger generation full of spirit, full of energy has the power to
the nature of creative, critical and dynamic and high sensitivity to the problem purely social.
Thus nature so that youth can become a pioneer and leader. Youth has become a spear
beginning for a new government within a State to become prosperous, materially and
spiritually.

"Youth have a natural role, which is pioneering and leadership in mobilizing the potential
and existing resources in the community. In his role as a pioneer and leader, youth must be
equipped with three important aspects, namely passion, ability, and experience. "

Pioneering and leadership can mean the same as that appearing in front of and
exemplified by others. But it can also have its own meaning. Pioneering clearly shows the
attitude of standing in front, pioneer, paving the way, and begin something to follow,
continue, develop, and think about the other. In a pioneering there is an element of the risk.
Ability to bear risk is important in any struggle, and development is a form of struggle. In
modern times, the lives of the more complex and more hazardous in accordance with the
development of Science and Technology (IPTEK), which significantly throughout the field of
employment. Modernity does reduce risk in these areas and in certain way of life. Even as a
young man who spirited leader and patriot, has considered the risk of any gravel that is very
easy to destroy.

The young generation are the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, in the hands of the
youth fate of a nation is at stake. If the youth has a passion and ability to build the nation and
country, then surely it would all come back to him. Development results in any aspect
actually is for the benefit of himself and his community.

The generation predecessors have produced great works for the nation. Independence
of the nation is a monumental work of extraordinary generated by the founding fathers of this
country, which is none other than the youth. Independence of this nation is not generated by
the legacy of the colonizers, but produced through sweat and blood, spirit and activity,
rhetoric and diplomacy are conducted by its predecessor. We have seen how the history of

youth. First, qualitatively, the youth have a pure idealism, dynamic, creative, innovative, and

be fought by the youth, not for the sake of himself and his group, but for the wide interest for
the progress of society, nation and state. Second, Quantitatively, it appears that Indonesia's
current population of more than 220 million people. According to recent researchment, if the
group categorized as young or aged between 15-35 years, estimated at more than 78-90
million people or 37-40 per cent of the total population. And if the criterion was 15-45 years
of even greater numbers. Most of this age group is a productive workforce that fills the
various fields of life. But the fact, they are jobless now.

Was understandable why the youth opportunity and strategically important position,
as actors of development as well as the next generation to take part in the future.
Because, youth has its advantages which is substantially related to the idealism that still pure,
and throughout its history has proven that strategic position and role in determining the
direction the nation's history. In politics, youth has helped encourage the process of
democratization of the nation. Heavy duty now is to promote the establishment of the agenda
for reform and democratization of the nation. Thus, Youth must dare to make self-criticism,
as well as fix themselves, improve the quality of its human resources, and ready to act in the
midst of society, coloring a variety of national life. This nation needs a role and contribute
significantly among the youth, and indeed the duty and role of youth is not light. Pemuda
Indonesia is expected to take every available opportunity and to use them properly, for the
progress of the nation. The future of this nation lies in the hands of youth.

History has proven, that the various parts of the world, social and political change
puts youth in vanguard. Comprehensive role, not only spring, but also upstream, downstream
to the estuary, even young as water or energy source changes. Unmitigated leaders such as
Bung Karno (First President Of The Republic Of Indonesia) struggle words express the spirit
of "Give me ten youth, then i will shake world, if there are nine young again, Indonesia must
be change".

Since the reformation era in 1998, where the young man also had a remarkable role. Many
people are disappointed that the reform does not become a catalyst for enlightenment process
of nation and state, quite the opposite. Now more young people to do the role as a political
group, and very few who do the role as social and intellectual groups in the improvement of
scientific enlightenment, so that the independence of youth today is very difficult
berkembangan in charge of nation and state.

Currently, the student is one generation a printed representation for the purpose of
professional development in the world that he tekuni campus. It is they who will advance the
professionalism Indonesia in accordance with their respective fields. For this reason, students
should start from now can develop the potential they have, it can be done by doing research,
actively organizing, doing well in college and even the world. Notwith their anarchist action
like demonstration. There are many ways that can be done than just a demonstration. Poverty
and corruption are major problems of our nation recently.

Even the percentage of poor people in Indonesia increased from year to year. The
government is coping with the provision of BLT (direct cash assistance) as a shock to the

effective? This should be our common studies. A lot of poor people who receive this BLT
and disappeared after 3 days they used to earning his living. I value the help of this BLT is

poverty is unemployment. So many people unemployed in this country (40%) is even 2
million unemployed graduates. Then, if the problem of this nation? How could 2 million
graduates are unemployed? Is there something wrong with our education system? Our
education system creates their students only to a worker, not a job creator. This is what in my
opinion as one of the causes of unemployment today. The government can conduct training
centers to train young men in exchange for a less effective BLT earlier.
A warm and still become an issue then is corruption. Starting from the new order era, reform,

thorough. Various ways have been made to overcome this crisis. Not only with the use of

Corruption has become a major scourge for the country. In fact, corruption has been

rationally and logically. Trying to destroy corruption and create anti-corruption movement for
the younger generation. We should not just stand idly by and be quiet. Silent is not gold here.

As young generation, you have to be brave, strong and logic.

agent of human development initiatives in Indonesia whole, which includes aspects of
