Tehuacán (from the Nahuatl "theo" = God, "hua" = possessive,

municipality located in the southeastern Mexican state of

City and 321 km from Oaxaca City, at an altitude of 1,676 meters,
semi-warm and semi-dry climate. The population according to
the census of 2010 is 274.907 inhabitants.

cultural. Among its architectural attractions include The Cultural
Complex and the Church of El Carmen ",, the Cathedral of Tehuacan,
San Francisco Church, the Calvary Temple, the church of St. Peter
the Apostle (Ácoquiaco), the House of Culture and Tehuacan Valley
Museum.
Its natural attractions are the most important sources of Garci
Crespo, Peñafiel, Balseca, irrigation and San Lorenzo Zapotitlán
Botanic Garden, San Juan Raya and Lagunas de San Bernardino.
An archaeological zone of interest is "La Mesa ", in Tehuacan Viejo.

industry, mining, tourism and trade.
