At the Zoo

When I heard that grandpa wanted to take me to the zoo, I was so

excited that I couldn’t even sleep that night .But, who else could in the house?
I got out of bed at least ten times to see if the clocks are slow, as I didn’t want
to be late. I forgot to tell you that I was meeting Mark and Sarah there, too.
The next morning came and we put on our sports clothes, took the
camera and off we went. On our way to the zoo, we bought something from
McDonald’s because when I skipped breakfast in the morning I promised mom
to do so.
Getting in the park where the zoo is ,I saw a lot of people walking to and
fro, from one cage to another admiring the animals.
We stopped in front of the lion’s cage. He was a splendid animal, big-eyed, with
a neat fur all around his head, like a crown and with a sparkling skin. We could
clearly see that the Zoo-keeper was doing his job. The lion was the king.
We were not allowed to feed big animals unless we asked for
permission, because the kids could have been hurt. But the squirrels, hares,
deer and all the birds really celebrate on Sunday when we go there, as we
always give them their favourite food.
After gazing at the bears, foxes and wolves, we shook hands with a
friendly monkey and then, tired after seeing so many figures, we sat on a
bench to eat our delicious hamburgers and chips. Finally grandpa rented a
boat and we rowed on the lake for half an hour or so.
All in all it was a gorgeous Sunday and all that night I slept like a log
and dreamt wonderful adventures with my friends from the zoo.

At the Museum
It is a kind of tradition in my family not to stay at home on Sundays
and go somewhere:
To the Zoo, to the restaurant, to visit some relatives or friends or…..God
knows where else.
Last Sunday, my grandpa decided to take me to the museum. I was
glad to meet the old exhibits (historical, objects, manuscripts, books) again,
but I was even more anxious to look at the fish in the big aquariums and to
admire the old coins in the collections donated by private collectors. It was
exciting to visit the hall where famous paintings were exhibited. There you
can find Nicolae Grigorescu, Stefan Luchian and Nicolae Tonitza, well known
Romanian artists.
The first thing when we got in the big museum hall was to buy tickets
and put the museum slippers on. You know, this is the rule there, not to spoil
the marble floor. Then we went to the ground floor, where the fish were.
Entering the big room made me feel like in a cave. The air was so cool
and it smelled so fresh, that I immediately fancied I was on a beach, at the
seaside. The elegant and slow moments of those creatures, their cheerful
colours and big eyes made me happy and relaxed. It was a great adventure
to watch them hide behind the green and grey rocks in the tanks, stretch
their wings and silently move on.

Holiday Plans
My parents have decided to spend our summer holiday in Greece.
They have booked a room in a nice hotel. We are going by car and we
are going to stay there for two weeks. We are going to visit lots of interesting
places there. I’m going to visit Crete because there is a lot to see. I’m going
to travel by ferry as I enjoy boat trips.
I’m going to swim every day, so I’m going to get a suntan. I’m going to
take a lot of suntan oil with me as I think we will need it.
When I come back from Greece I’m going to spend a week in the
mountains. I’m not going on my own. My best friend is coming with me and I
think my cousin will come too if I ask her. Organizing your own trip can be
fun. Many students like us hitchhike or buy cheap train tickets and spend the
nights in cheap hostels or guesthouses. We’ll stay in Sinaia. I hope we’ll find a
hotel easily but if there’s any problem we are going to stay at the campsite.
We are going to climb the mountains and in addition to it we intend to visit
the Peles Castle .I haven’t visited it since I was six. I’d like to visit it once
more .Maybe we’ll travel by cable car up to 2.000 meters height. There we’ll
enjoy the fresh air, the beautiful scenery. I’m going to take my camera with
me as I want to take lots of photos.
I’m looking forward to my holiday .I’m sure it will be the best holiday

My Favourite Season
I can say that the season I like best is summer. And it is not just
because I was born in summer, but also because this is the season when you
can do a lot of things and have the greatest time ever.
The main reason why I simply adore summer in the summer
holiday. For me the 15th of June it is happiest day in the whole year. I know
that then three sunny months are waiting for me and my usually need at the
seaside or at the swimming-pool, such as: a bathing-suit, a ball, a life belt,
some t-shirts and shorts and what not.
When I am at the grandparents I spend a lot of time in the forest
near their village with some mates. There we make bonfires, go fishing,
traveling, fight with sticks, pick up berries and usually get home late. As a
rule, before bedtime we eat as much as we can and then sleep like a long
until the next morning when we start it all over again.

5
When I am at my parents I meet different friends out, we go roller
skating ,wander all over the place, visit my relatives and go out with them, go
to the pool were I lie in the sun and swim, I watched T.V very rarely and read
occasionally. I like the town at dusk when the light changes into darkness and
it is then when I sometimes take pictures, to the sky, people and buildings.
This is a kind hobby for me.
