Human rights: Romina Matei
Romina Matei is working full time as project coordinator at the Intercultural Institute Timisoara,
dealing with projects related with integration of migrants, youth activities and adult education.
She is a member in the pool of trainers in the international network, Youth Express Network
www.y-e-n.net since 2006. In the last years, she was involved in many international youth
activities – organized in Romania and in others countries in Europe. Some of them are:
o Hurry UP, Strasbourg 2010
o European Teenagers Summit, Timisoara 2010
o You(th) have the power, Roma, 2009
o RURBAN – Interculturality in rural and urban areas, in Romania and Hungary 2009

Citizen journalism: Gabi Dobre

Gabriel Dobre, 28, is a journalist, founding member and co-editor of Decât o Revistă (DoR), a
quarterly magazine about current day Romania. Previously he worked as a senior editor for
Esquire Romania, a general interest magazine for men, and as projects coordinator for Media
Monitoring Agency, now Active Watch, a human rights NGO with a focus on media related
issues
