1 Job satisfaction of the School or Madrasah teacher’s in Bangladesh

“Job satisfaction of the School or Madrasah
teacher’s in Bangladesh”
Teachers are a crucial element of educational opportunity structures. We call that education is
our Backbone and teachers are the grate creature of holly God to set up our Backbone. Teachers
are arguably the most important group of professionals for our nation’s future. Therefore, it is
disturbing to find that many of today’s teachers are dissatisfied with their jobs.
We are collecting data from several primary school teachers and Madrasah teachers. We are tried
to investigate the role of individual teacher background, school environment, and community
factors as influences on job satisfaction. Consistent with research elsewhere, results show that
younger, better-educated teachers are less satisfied, and suggest that teachers may be more
satisfied in schools with an organizational climate that supports collaboration.

First we discuss about our Secondary education level and Madrasah education levels.
Secondary School:
In our Country, Primary schools are three types of:
1. Government Primary School
2. Registered Government Primary School
3. Private kindergarten / Primary school (English and Bangla Standard)
High schools are two types of:
1. Government High School
2. Private High school (English and Bangla Standard)

Madrasah:
In our country, Madrasah education systems are three types of:
1. Alia Madrasah ( Government and Private)
2. Hafezi Madrasah (Private)
3. Qaumi Madrasah (Unregistered; 'Dawra Degree')

We describe Job satisfaction level in step by step;
Teacher background:
Young teachers, male teachers and teachers with greater human capital are less satisfied, while
teachers who are more socially similar to the local community are more satisfied in terms of
private schools and Madrasah.
.School environment:
Teachers are more satisfied in schools with better economic resources, in larger schools, in
schools where there are more opportunities for professional advancement, and in schools where
there is an organizational climate that supports teacher collaboration. School environment vary
by the system and also by the divisional factors.
Payment Schedule:
In the term of salary, Government teachers can take full amount of their salary. But, in most of
the private and registered school and Madrasah teachers can’t take the proper salary which they
want or in terms of salary scale. Some of the teacher said about the political problem, one owner
and some social factors, that Madrasah teachers are highly neglected by the society now a day.
Benefits:
As financial benefits, teachers are only taking only two times in a year. There are few
motivational benefits are applicable in some private schools only. In Madrasah, benefits are only
taken by the governing body, which are supplied by several sources. Teachers can take those
advantages in rare.
Technological impacts:
Now a day, Government of Bangladesh takes decision for give Computer in Schools and
Madrasahs. But those are only for Government institutes. But only a computer can’t change the
whole technological changes. There need an internet connection for knowing the world. But
teachers said that, computer is in head teacher room and any students or teachers don’t allow
touching it without permission. Teachers are covering their studies and works from lab or cyber
cafés.
Leadership:
In our country it is not possible to take the leadership from the senior people. Everywhere of our
country we may see the same scenario. There have some junior teachers which are trying to take
leadership; they are inside in a difficult situation by internal politics of senior teachers. It is for

all the schools and Madrasah. Most of the management of the schools is not taking any
suggestion from their teachers.
Communication:
Communication can be developing by internal source only. Sometimes teachers are not aware of
their school, what is going on. Teamwork is not available in every institution. Because, most of
the teachers are busy with their tuitions.
Performance feedback and recognition:
Motivational feedback or performance feedbacks are not continuing in every state of the schools
and Madrasah. Some of the teachers are not aware about performance rating or evaluating.
Teachers should not rated by students in anywhere in Bangladesh, teachers are taking their
profession by own skills for schools and Madrasah. Reward system is too much poor for major
schools and Madrasahs.
Colleagues:
Behavior is varying person to person. Teachers are always trying to maintain a good relation
with their colleagues. But still there are some internal politics or groupings are working
everywhere.
Stress:
Teachers are loved to teach. But when they don’t take any quality full students, they don’t give
their attention and teach well.
Community factors:
Teachers are more satisfied in communities with greater economic and social resources, and in
communities that are less remote.
Overall Satisfaction:
Most of the teachers said that they are satisfied with their job. But some of them are dissatisfied
because of poor salary, education system, internal grouping or politics, management’s
unawareness, quality less schools, poor motivational factors.
Every person always dreams a better job. Private and registered school or Madrasah teacher are
trying to go for a Government School or Madrasah and also in a better job sector which is in
