Advantage Fee a Client Fee Billing solution as an Business Systems Analyst (BSA).
Advantage Fee™ is a fully automated client fee billing and revenue management solution that
accurately calculates highly complex billing for fees and commissions. A uniquely
comprehensive and cost-effective solution, Advantage Fee can be implemented globally for
asset/investment management, custody, corporate banking and clearance and settlement.

Used by many leading banks and investment advisors, Fiserv has the largest number of securities
firms using the Advantage Fee solution today, including ABN AMRO Asset Management, Bank
of New York Mellon, JP Morgan Chase, Ameriprise, Blackrock and Schroders.
Description – The BSA using his strong Business background and understanding and knowledge
of Fee Billing requirements plus technology and systems knowledge, examines a business
activity to help decide whether new solutions will improve productivity or business processes
and facilitate development of such solutions throughout the full software development life cycle.
The Business Systems Analyst provides functional specifications for development based on the
business requirements provided. The goal is to guide the development process to create
innovative software that can be used by our entire client base, while partnering with product
management and technology team.

Responsibilities -

• Scope and Complexity Analysis


• Creation of Functional Specifications Document (FSD)

• Creation of use cases

• Creation of workflow diagrams

• High-level functional testing

• Support of internal and external clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase

• Leading Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with Business, Technology and QA

• Review of Business Requirements Document (BRD)

• Review of Technical Specifications Document (TSD)

• Review scope of QA test scripts

• Support Client Operations on escalated tickets

• Create a Functional Specification Document (scaled down) on identified system bugs

• Assist Product Managers with Voice of the Client and Business.

• Assist Product Managers with training trainers and client operations associates on new
functionality

• Serve as Subject Matter Experts on assigned products

• Support of development and testing activities during the entire SDLC


Required Skills – Business Systems Analysts should have the following skills
• Strong working knowledge, business understanding and background

• Strong Understanding of Client Fee Billing Business

• Understanding of Investment Management and Securities Markets

• Exposure to Fee Billing systems and processes

• A strong working knowledge and Technical Background in at least one programming language

• Competent to work in systems analysis and consider the business implications of the
application of technology to the current business environment / architecture

• Knowledge of FIX, SWIFT, and FpML protocol


• A solid understanding of the methodologies surrounding the SDLC

• An ability to understand the value-added proposition of their respective project

• A understanding of Project Management

• Results oriented

• Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills

• A solid understanding of various web-based technologies (.Net, J2EE, XML, & EJB)

• Working knowledge of Access, Word, Visio and Excel

• Knowledge of data modeling & ETL

• Proficient in UML methodology

• Firm understanding of Business Process, Workflow, Six Sigma & Risk Management
Required Education

• Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Since or Engineering


Requires Experience

• Minimum Six years overall experience

• Minimum Three year experience as Business Systems Analyst

• Minimum Two years experience in a software development/Technical position
