Buying decisions
In this experiment the focus group had to choose between genetically modified and
naturally grown (ecological) product. (the product was..). Here the genetically modified
product was substantially cheaper than the other. At the same time company producing the
genetically modified crops is relatively young but successful company. Although from time to
time there are rumours about the healthiness of such products and there are some groups
that protest against them, the company has denied that such things have happened to it.
Furthermore, the company despite its young age has received ISO 9000 standard and is
known for quality production technology and respectable engineers that are working in it.
While at the same time considering that the participant has to imagine himself in a position
of a student that has to pay for a rent, studies, food, the student has taken a loan and during
these times it is hard to get by, V

‘dditional job
Here we will ask the focus group participants to imagine that they are successful managers
of an international industrial company. The salary is quite high to cover basic needs and a
nice house in the suburb but still there is a room for improvement and additional career
opportunities. The imaginary person wants to fully use his time and thus he decides to take
additional job. He has two offers ʹ one is in an investment bank, the prospected salary is
high ʹ enough to move to a greater house and sustain two cars but there can be situations
where he will have to work long hours even though it is a part time job. The second job is a
voluntarily job in a social business company that has a respectable person as a CEO and
employees are nice. Here the job requires commitment and challenging even though it is
voluntarily. As a nudge we will incorporate in the presentation like a quote that working and
having being rewarded you need to repay back to society with good.
