Order

The following Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.

Notification
In the exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the institution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu
hereby makes the following Amendment to the General Rules (Part II of the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Services Rules) in
volume I of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual 1977.
The amendment hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 28th January 1983.
Amendment
In the said Rules, in rule 35, after sub-rule (e) the following sub-rule shall be added namely:
"(f) Application for the revision of seniority of a person in a service, class, category or grade shall be submitted to the
appointing authority within a period of three years from the date of appointment to such service, class, category or grade or
within a period of three years from the date of order fixing the seniority, as the case may be. Any application received after the
said period of three years shall be summarily rejected. This shall not however, be applicable to case of rectifying orders,
resulting from mistake of facts".
