Resumen
El Proyecto “Historia Reciente de San Juan: memoria, voces e imágenes”,
se fundamenta en los nuevos planteamientos en que se encuentra inmerso el
historiador en este nuevo milenio. Entre ellos los nuevos criterios que dejan de lado la
tradicional división cuatripartita de la Historia e incorporan una nueva categoría
temporal cual es la de Historia Reciente que carece de limitaciones cronológicas fijas y
establecidas.
El abordaje de este nuevo corte temporal se está realizando a través de la:
memoria/recuerdos, voces e imágenes –fotografía-
Los objetivos son
Contribuir al conocimiento de la historia reciente de San Juan .a través del
tratamiento de fuentes no convencionales
Conocer y recuperar las prácticas culturales, el imaginario, la idiosincrasia, la
identidad de los sanjuaninos a través de “documentos orales” y “documentos
audiovisuales”.
Metodológicamente, se aplica el método histórico en sus diferentes etapas, en
cuanto al tratamiento de la imagen fotográfica contempla dos niveles: el iconográfico y
el iconológico mientras que. la entrevista es el medio que nos acerca a la memoria de
los “interlocutores válidos” a los cuales le hemos otorgado la “palabra”.
Vida cotidiana; la vivienda post-terremoto, la cárcel, la mujer, son algunas de
las temáticas trabajadas que nos muestra la riqueza de la Historia Reciente

The Project “Recent History of San Juan: memory, voices and images”, are
based on the new expositions in which is immersed the historian in this new millenium.
Among them the new criteria that leave of side the traditional quadripartite division of
History and incorporate a new temporary category as are the one of Recent History
that lacks fixed and established chronological limitations. The boarding of this new
temporary cut is being made through: memory/memories, voices and images - it
photographs the objectives are To contribute to the knowledge of the recent history of
San Juan. through treatment of of nonconventional sources.
To Know and to recover the cultural practices, the imaginary one, the
idiosyncrasy, the audio-visual identity of the sanjuaninos through “oral documents” and
“documents”. Methodologically, the historical method in its different stages is applied,
as far as the treatment of the photographic image contemplates two levels: the
iconográfico and the iconológico whereas. the interview is the means that approach us
the memory of the “valid interlocutors” to who we have granted him the “word”. Daily
life; the house post-earthquake, the jail, the woman, is some of the thematic ones
worked that show to the wealth of Recent History.
