Candidates for ASG President

Michael Dodd
My name is Michael Dodd, and I’m prepared to lead the Associated Student Government as President in
2011-12. In “Redefining Trust” as a servant leader I would like to "wash the feet" of students and
organizations in a way that empowers them to reach greater heights. I would like to break down
barriers between students, push for increased service, increase awareness and accessibility of campus
events, and positively change common student perceptions. YOU are the reason I'm running and I will go
to bat for you every day of the week. Check out vote4campus.com for more information.

Kayln Williams
My name is Kayln Williams and I am eager and honored at the prospect of serving as your 2011-2012
ASG President. I have worked diligently alongside my running mates, Afshar, Austin, and Sydney, to
provide a far-reaching platform seeking to further student academic success, implement students’
visions, and expand involvement. Our team possesses the dedicated leadership to carry out your
dynamic visions in the upcoming year. The strength of our established relationship and continued
collaboration with administrators to achieve your vision will allow us to accomplish our goals. Please

Candidates for ASG Vice President

Afshar Sanati
I’m looking forward to getting the opportunity to expand upon the success of the current ASG
administration and take this organization to the next level. I have great vision for the future of ASG and
am confident that my combination of experience and willingness to work hard will continue to increase
the visibility of this organization on campus. As a native Arkansan, my pride for the state’s flagship
institution is unmatched. If elected, I along with my running mates, Kayln, Austin, and Sydney plan to
pursue our motto of “Your Vision, Our Mission” with great passion because we are here to serve you.

Lauren Waldrip
My name is Lauren Waldrip, and I'm ready to serve YOU as ASG Vice President. I believe I have the
experience to enhance the spirit of our campus. More importantly I believe the experience of all
students is ultimately greater than my own; it’s the student body that knows the most about what
improvements we can make, which is why we would like to make decisions for YOU and you alone. The
common student embodies what the University represents: trust, tradition, and spirit. I would like to
uphold traditions students desire, increasing enthusiasm for involvement at the same time-

Candidates for ASG Treasurer

Matthew Bakke
My goal as Treasurer would be to serve with humility the student body that I am so proud to be a part
of. To pursue individual relationships with Student Organizations and take their goals to heart. To help
students create the most immersive events, go to the most prestigious conferences, and bring in the
most illuminative speakers. To foster cooperation and communication between groups. To manage
with integrity the financial accounts of the student’s democratic voice- and to always, always, remember
who I am there to serve.

Austin Reid
My name is Austin Reid and I would like to serve as your 2011-2012 Associated Student Government
Treasurer. Over the last two years I have served the student body as RIC’s Secretary-Treasurer and
ASG’s Assistant to the Treasurer. While in office, I would like to continue to foster friendly relationships
with RSOs, solve past issues with the RSO Allocations process, and explore future reform for the RSO
Allocations process. My running mates Kayln, Afshar, Sydney, and I have an extensive vision for the
University and possess the experience to bring these goals to fruition. Please look over our platform at
www.yourvisionourmission.us.
Candidates for ASG Secretary

Sydney Dunn
My name is Sydney Dunn and I am more than excited to potentially be the upcoming ASG Secretary.
Over the past three years, I have had the privilege to become highly involved and learn about all of the
wonderful things this campus has to offer. I gained valuable experience as I served two PR roles,
interned with a PR firm in DC and through serving ASG in the as Director of Campus Safety. I could not
be more motivated and enthused to take this position to the next level. For more information, check our
website at www.yourvisionourmission.us.

Emily Fitzgerald
I am excited for the opportunity to serve as the Associated Student Government Secretary. The most
important thing for an ASG executive officer is to put students first. While putting YOUR voice first, I will
strive to implement plans that will continue to better OUR University.

YOUR voice is important and YOUR ideas can change our campus. I want to develop new communication
methods that will make ASG more accessible for students. Students should feel comfortable coming to
the ASG office and should know that we’re here to serve them. Please visit vote4campus.com for a
detailed platform.

Thank you, Emily
