SUNRISE SERVICE
On Sunday, April 24th, we will have our
Sunrise Service at 6:00 am in the Church
Chapel.
Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the
empty tomb and resurrection of our Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. The Good Shepherd
Emmaus Community will sponsor the breakfast
immediately following worship. If you would like
to help with cooking or with a donation, please
contact Kathy or Brent Vanburen.
We will observe our regular Sunday schedule of
services on Easter Sunday.
MISSIONS
The Missions Team will meet April 12 at 6:30 pm in the
Conference Room. The main topic of discussion will
be the Community Garden and the "rules" of operation.
Davis Taylor has been invited to attend to discuss the
preparation of the plots. Such items to be discussed are:
watering, direction of rows, size of the plots, and any
others that might be brought from persons attending.
Remember that a sign up sheet is at the welcome
desk. Plots may be shared by two or more persons.
Please come and join the Team for these discussions.
You may have special interests that we need to know.

LIBRARY NEWS
New Book in Library:
Minding Frankie, by Maeve Binchy, 2011
The book, set in Ireland, is a tale of joy, heartbreak and
hope, about a motherless baby girl collectively raised by a
close-knit Dublin community. When Noel learns that his
terminally ill former flame is pregnant with his child,
he agrees to take guardianship of the baby girl once
she is born. As a single father battling demons of his
own, Noel knows he cannot do it alone. Fortunately, he
has a competent, caring network of friends, family and
neighbors to care for little Frankie. But not everyone is
pleased with the unconventional arrangement. The Social
Worker is convinced that Frankie would be better off in
a foster home. Now it is up to Noel to persuade her that
everyone in town has something special to offer when it
comes to Minding Frankie.

FAITH SHARING
What one circumstance has influenced
you the most in your spiritual journey?
The Evangelism Team has asked the Worship
Planning Team to designate a time at both
worship services on the 4th Sunday of each
month for someone to share their faith story.
Sharing our faith story often touches the hearts
of others and nurtures their spiritual life. If you
are interested in sharing your story, contact
Rev. Frazer at 822-4531. He will schedule a
time for you to meet with him. Evangelism Team

The March & April Upper Room Daily Devotional
Guide is available on the table in the connector. You
are encouraged to put $1.00 in the money box for

 CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES NEWS
Seussical the Musical
Saturday, April 9th 2pm
Davidson Academy is putting on the play “Seussical
the Musical” and we are getting a group together
to go. Our very own Angel Brothers will be in the
performance and I know it is going to great! The
cost will be no more than $3 a person. We will
meet at Davidson Academy that day around 1:30 to
pass out tickets. If you are interested please email

Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 16th 10am
It is time once again to hunt eggs. We will make
a craft, take pictures with the Easter Bunny and
of course hunt eggs. We might even have a few
surprises for you. All activities will be in the gym
and we will have age specific areas outside to hunt
eggs. If the weather was to be bad that day we will
hunt eggs inside the CLC. ALL Children up to 5th
grade are welcome to come and participate.
Easter Candy Needed
We are asking for help from the congregation for
our Easter Egg Hunt. We are in need of lots of
candy to stuff the Easter Eggs. If you would like to
donate candy for the kids please give it to Brittany
Ramage or place it in the basket near the Welcome
Center. Please have your candy in by Friday, April
15th.
Kids Who Care Club
Sunday, April 17th 4:00-6:00pm
We will be potting some plants, so please wear old
clothes. Please bring $3 for pizza and a drink. If
you have any questions please see Mrs. Debbie or
Mrs. Brittany.

This Wednesday - Bible Smuggling
This Wednesday we will be finishing our
Underground Reality: Vietnam series. We will
be playing a game of Bible Smuggling. We will
smuggle bibles into the church so be sure to
bring those Bibles and extra backpacks!
Rock Climbing This Sunday April 10th
This Sunday @ 3:00 p.m. we will head down to
Climb Nashville for some indoor rock climbing.
For safety reasons, youth will not be allowed to
belay unless they can successfully pass the belay
test administered by Climb Nashville staff. The
total cost will be $20 per person which includes
entry to the climbing gym, shoe rental, and
harness rental.
Mad Props
Massive mad props to everyone who helped
with the Saturday church wide cleanup efforts.
Take a look at the church and be proud of
everything we accomplished on Saturday.
