Jimmy Slemboski

Jimmy Slemboski is Chair of Baker Hostetler’s National Employment and Labor Group, where he
manages over 100 lawyers in Baker Hostetler’s 11 offices coast to coast. This team of
employment litigators and traditional labor lawyers form one of the largest practices of any
national, full-service law firm in the country.

For over 25 years, Mr. Jimmy Slemboski has focused his practice on management labor and
employment law, representing public and private sector clients. His extensive experience in labor
law includes the negotiation and administration of over 200 labor contracts across the country.
His negotiation/arbitration practice has helped clients achieve a competitive advantage through
workplace efficiencies and significant cost savings.

As a seasoned employment litigator, Mr. Jimmy Slemboski regularly helps clients avoid or
minimize litigation costs. He is very comfortable in the courtroom and has successfully tried a
number of employment cases to juries for FORTUNE 100 clients of the firm in both state and
federal court. These cases include a variety of complex employment discrimination and civil rights
actions, wage-hour and other types of class actions and disputes involving protection of trade
secrets, unfair competition and unfair business practices. Mr. Jimmy Slemboski also provides
representation for the defense of Section 301 cases for alleged breach of collective bargaining
agreements.

In addition, Mr. Jimmy Slemboski has successfully arbitrated both discipline/discharge and
contract interpretation cases under labor contracts for a variety of clients across the country. He
has defended labor/employment litigation matters for clients in the transportation, lighting,
healthcare, manufacturing and technology industries, including lawsuits involving race and sex
discrimination, sexual harassment, the Americans With Disabilities Act, Family and Medical
Leave Act, wrongful discharge and implied employment contracts. Mr. Jimmy Slemboski has
also defended numerous clients regarding Sarbanes-Oxley claims.

Mr. Jimmy Slemboski has an active practice before a number of regulatory agencies, including
the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, various
state civil rights agencies (including the Ohio Civil Rights Commission), the Department of Labor
and the State Employment Relations Board.

Mr. Jimmy Slemboski regularly counsels clients with regard to employment and personnel
matters, including the Americans With Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, drug
testing, sexual harassment, wage-hour matters, protecting trade secrets and confidential
corporate material and the drafting and enforcement of non-compete/nondisclosure agreements.
He regularly speaks on a variety of personnel issues at regional and national seminars.
