Intertech Awarded GSA Schedule Contract

Intertech has been awarded the General Services Administrator (GSA) Schedule Con
tract. This includes general purpose commercial information technology equipment
, software, and services.
Eagan, MN - April 5th, 2011 - Intertech has been awarded the General Services Ad
ministrator ( GSA ) Schedule Contract. This includes general purpose commercial
information technology equipment, software, and services.
The GSA award allows government agencies to easily work with groups of pre-appro
ved vendors, because they know vendors have already had to adhere to the regulat
ions stipulated by GSA.
In short, this award makes it easier for government agencies to access Intertech
's expertise in training and consulting services.

The GSA model is based on two primary ideas. 1 ) Basis of Award and 2 ) Price Re
duction Clause. These stipulations increase price competition between vendors an
d eliminates the opportunity for unregulated or unfair awarding of government co
ntracts.
The GSA Program was started in 1947 by Herbert Hoover and Harry Truman, and beca
me an independent agency in 1949. The program now offers over 11 million commerc
ial services and products, including information technology and best pricing. Th
e program is split into 11 different agencies or regions across the United State
s. The benefits of using this program for the customer: include lower overhead c
osts, shorter lead times, and just-in-time delivery models.
