Job Description
The National Association of Social Workers, Illinois Chapter (NASW IL) seeks a stipend intern for the fall semester 2011. Interns will work closely with the
Manager of Conference/Events and the Educational Manager on the logistics/meeting planning aspects of several board meetings, numerous educational
courses, online trainings, as well as work on a major 3 Day educational conference. Interns will also be responsible for administrative duties as well (i.e.,

strong familiarity with computers and social networks are encouraged to apply.
This is a four day per week internship (unless your internship requirements need it to be 5 days a week) with "flexible dates" based on your academic needs
(which must include the dates from Sept. 19-Nov 12 ) . Students will be compensated with a $1500.00 total stipend that will be prorated and distributed
monthly. They will also receive a FREE student membership to Meeting Professionals International (MPI). All student interns are required to participate on a
local MPI committee during their internship.
We are a busy, state association with a small, friendly staff that works mostly 9-5 (with occasional night events and industry networking opportunities -which
you may be requested to attend.) Our office is located in downtown Chicago at 404 S Wells, 4th Floor. For more information on NASW IL, please go to
