AMBUKAS April 2011 UPDATES

We sincerely and wholeheartedly thank you very much for

praying for us and supporting us morally and financially, may
our almighty God bless you richly. More about our updates:

Family
We have continued experiencing the hand of
God in both our family and ministry. Rose and
I are fine and in good health. Darwin is
preparing to join Kampala International
University where he intends to pursue a
bachelor’s degree in medicine. Luke is
progressively pursuing his at Hope University
in Burundi. Thank you very much for
praying for our daughter charity
when she was sitting for her national
examination at high school in Kenya.
In spite of many challenges which
included reshuffle of her teachers at
her final year, she managed to pass
with a C+ and she is preparing to join
a Kenyan University where she
intends to pursue a bachelor’s
degree in Education. Israel is doing very
well in his fourth grade.

Ministry
ICM Burundi has 3 major divisions namely English Language Institute (ELI), Africa
Theological Seminary (ATS), and Church Leadership Institute (CLI).
ELI
Currently we have 190 students at our ICM
town campus who are pursuing certificate in
English Language. This program has top
level students from the government. Dale
and Melinda Peterson are doing
consultations with Ministry of Education top
leadership and building the capacity of
public school teachers in preparation for our
forth coming rolling library in 17 public
schools when the container arrives by end of
this month.
ATS
50 of the 190 students above are pastors and are studying Bible and Theology in our town
campus. We also have 15 other pastors in our main campus (12 km out of town) who are
left with 2 courses to complete their certificate program in Bible and Theology. At the
main campus, we are currently building administration block which will enhance our
training programs once it is completed. We shall be able to absorb students from other
parts of Burundi who will board. EMI team from Canada, USA & Germany designed for
us the ICM center and we are now ready to build when God provides the funds.
CLI
Since this year begun, we have done
3 Bible Leadership Seminars and
3 prayer conferences to pastors and
other church leaders in different
parts of the country.
PRAYER REQUESTS
1 God to manifest Himself as we train pastors & other church leaders that their lives
may be transformed.
2 English Language students who are not believers will know and accept Christ
3 The administration block construction will progress
4 Teams to come and help us on either short term or long term missions: to teach, to
build, to conduct prayer or Bible seminars, to evangelize, to invest, to visit &
encourage us, etc
