Show racism the red card - winners again!

Fantastic news -Turtle class came 1st in the art and creative writing category and Dol-
phin class came 3rd in the all ages all abilities multi-media category. Some staff, chil-
dren and their parents from both class will be going to Newcastle on the 3rd of May to
receive their award but a representative of the charity will come to school to present
prizes to the two winning classes.

The Royal wedding celebrations

To mark this occasion, during the week of the Royal wedding the children will be par-
ticipating in some activities which will help to make the day memorable for them. At
the end of the week we will be having a party in the playground, the children will be
invited to come to school dressed as princes and princesses and they will enter a crown
competition. We will send you more details as soon as we come back to school after
the Easter holiday including how we would like your help or support.

Fund raising:
We were able to send an amazing £573.03 to brain tumour UK at the end of March which in-
cluded the £300.78 you contributed on the pirate dressing up day on the 18th of March and
money donated by staff from 3 cake bakes, a pizza lunch and food for St Patrick’s day.
The school received £282.35 in commission from the recent book sale which is fantastic and we
also raised about £150 from the Easter raffle.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT

Hot weather:
If/when the weather turns hot please make sure your child comes to school with water and a
sun hat. You may want to apply sun screen to your child in the morning before coming to
school as our playgrounds are very sunny and we do not want anyone to get sun-burned during
playtimes.

Clubs: If your child has attended an after school club this half term we do hope they have enjoyed
the experience. Clubs come to an end this week and, after the break, you will need to collect your
child at the usual time every day. Details about clubs for next half term will be sent home after the
holiday.
