Selected as management representative for Regional Safety team, based on success at fostering relationships with
union/non-union personnel, and overall job performance.
New forms and procedures for hospital and clinical areas to perform root cause analyses were adopted as Best
Practices.

Project Manager Safety Initiative
Management of change produced a safe working environment. By forging effective relationships across the continuum at
several Kaiser Permanente locations, a floundering initiative was kick started into high gear to achieve undreamed of
results. Managed the project that included staff selection, acquisition and training. Developed relationships with union and
non-union personnel to define scope, establish deliverables, set baselines and facilitate meetings leading to
implementation of change.
Major Accomplishments:
Achieved over 24% decrease in injuries at San Rafael facility in only 6 months.
Began first downward trend in injuries: 18% reduction at Oakland facility; 10% at Richmond facility.
Conducted safety, hazard identification, risk prioritization, risk mapping, risk remediation, training programs;
performed vendor research, and developed remediation plans; published status reports for executive management
Wrote technical manual as institute first „No Lift‟ policy and procedure guideline for ICU/TCU areas.
CAREER NOTES: Previously held positions of Western Area Development Manager with Hickory Hams (1995-1999)
and District Operations Manager with Public Storage (1991-1995). Trained staff on policies and procedures, maintained
safety functions, supervised 50 persons across 14 locations, and achieved major revenue increases. Details available on
