To Whorrr It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter on belralf of Miss Michelle Kemp. Miss Kemp has been associated
with our school foithe past four years and has demonstrated qualities thaf make her an outstanding candidate for a full tirne
elemclrtary school teacher position.

Micfrelle Kemp first came to our school as a college freshnran. Shc was a nrember of SUNY Plattsburgh's
Comnrulity Scholars Prograrn. This progranr places college frcslunan who have demonstrated outstanding acadentic
capabilities in work-study situations in various local sites. Our school has had a partnership in this pragram for the past
sever years arul I consider it to be an eatly step in recruiting tlre future "Best Teachers". In Michelle's case, this strategy
Iras proven to be sound. Even at the early stages of development, Michelle proved to lnve poise, matudty, good judgment
antl a rvork ethic well beyond her peers. Working in kindergarten, Michelle quickly gained the confidence and respect of
her supervising teacher.

After Michelle's tenure in the Cornmunity Sclrolar's program, she continued to serue as a volunteer in our school.
It wasrr't long before I felt Michelle was ready to assunre the duties of a substitute teacher and I placed ber in a variety of
teaching situations. The feedback from my stalT about Michelle's work suppotted my orvtt otrservations that "fuIiss Kenrp"
was developing into a prinrc candidate for future consideration'

IVlost rccently, Michelle Kemp has taken over the full time duties of a classtoorn teacher. Since early May she has
replaced one of our kindergartcn teachers who is on rnaternily leave. This was a unique situation in that Michelle was
"teclrnically" completing her final student teaching assignment beforc graduation. It is a testament to Michelle's capatrilities
that her college and I agreed to luve Michelle complete her student teaching "on the job" at our school. Michelle's work
has been exemplary and, most importantly, oul kindergarten children have experienced a seamless transition to a new
teacher. Their final two rnonths of school have bcen productive, bappy, and at a quality level which rneets our school's high
standards.

I have riarcly written a letter of relerence lo the extent of tlris one lbr a fecont graduate. I{owever, I consider
fulichelle Kernp to be an unusual taleilt. Recently, our school was recognized by New York State for excellence in
instructional practices. I directly attdbute this recognition to the wealth of talent J have been able to recruit over twenty
years at Mcffisonville School. lf t had a teaching vacancy far 2009-2010, Michelle Kenrp would be at the top of rny list of
cantlidates lbr cqrnsideration. I rnost highly recomluetrd MicheJle Kernp fbr your consideratiorr.

fiease feel ft'ee to colltact me slrould you require any additional information rcgarding Michelle's experience at our
school.
