WHY THEY LOVE IT: When Sally married Paul five
years ago, she also married his home at Bay Hill
Estates.
“I like the house,” she says, “but I redocorated it.”
The large home offers plenty of wall space for Sally’s
watercolors. She loves to paint and create sculptures.
“I’m not aggressively into it,” she says of her art. “I
do it because I love to do it. I sell some works, but my
kids have the best ones.”
Their home is also full of Japanese art.
Paul owned two companies that made computers for
manufacturing. “My business took me to Japan about

immediately joined and made great friends.”
The couple also wanted a neighborhood that was
safe because they intended to travel. A lot.
“Next we have a trip planned for Orlando and

THEIR HOME: 4 bedrooms, 41⁄2 baths, 3,600 square feet
with golf course and waterfront views
WHEN THEY MOVED IN: June 2002
WHAT THEY PAID: $502,000
CURRENT VALUE (from Zillow.com): $796,000
WHY THEY LOVE IT: Sweethearts since sixth grade back
home in Jacksonville, Stephanie and Tim moved to Bay
Hill Estates for Tim’s job as regional sales director for
Endo Pharmaceuticals.
“We could have lived anywhere in Florida,” Tim says.
“One of the reasons we loved Bay Hill is that we love
the country-club setting and we don’t have to pay for it,”
Stephanie says. “Plus, it’s safe here. That was important.”
It was important because the couple were victims of a
burglary at their home in New Haven, Conn., while they
were asleep upstairs.
“We looked together in Boca,” Tim says. “We wanted
a gated community with large lots. We couldn’t find it
there. You look out at the gated places and you couldn’t
tell which roof was yours.”
Tim and Stephanie found a house they wanted at Bay
Hill Estates — “We liked the cul-de-sac for the kids, so
they could play without traffic,” says Stephanie. With a
contract pending, Tim arrived at the security gate with
his dad to show him the house.
“They wouldn’t let us in even though I had a contract
on the house,” Tim says. “I liked that they wouldn’t let me
in. That’s what we wanted is good security.”
A bonus has been all the families with kids.
“We have parades for Halloween, Christmas, an Easter
egg hunt,” Tim says.
“People here like to socialize,” Stephanie adds. “This
is exactly what we wanted.”

STEVE KUVEIKIS

octagonal den and a 2-car garage.

WHY HE LOVES IT: In a word, space.
Kuveikis gives high marks to his Aba-

closets, and his dogs Snoopy and Mocha
dig the walking paths across the street.
As a personal-injury attorney, the 38-
year-old has worked in downtown West
Palm Beach for several years. But when
it came time to buy a house, downtown’s
historic properties, he says, felt claustro-
phobic. The tiny bathrooms, minuscule
closets and 8-foot ceilings were too con-
fining for a guy who’s 6-feet-4.
After purchasing a Palm Beach
