The engine for the 2009 car will be a 2006 Honda CBR 600RR. The Motec
fuel injection that was used last year will be used again. The race car will
be mid-engined with rear wheel drive. The drive train will consist of a chain-
driven limited slip differential, constant velocity joints, and custom splined
shafts that directly drive the wheels. The chassis design will constitute a new Active in F-SAE since 1987 as a
frame. All of the suspension components were redesigned for the new car due
to the new template rules. A new composite body will also be designed and design judge, sponsor and reporter
fabricated. Modified braking and steering systems from the 2008 car will also be
implemented. 1-800-844-7296
