Hard-hitting Sailfish blast St. Leo

Sailfish baseball’s starting pitcher, Jer-
emiah Cothiere, had another great home
outing on Wednesday to improve PBA’s
record to 19-13.
The Sailfish defeated Saint Leo Uni-
versity 14-3 on a warm, breezy day at
Dave Manzo Field. Cothiere pitched for
a solid six innings with only two runs on
five hits, walked four batters and struck
out five.
Even though no one on PBA hit the
long ball at all this game, there were a lot
of extra base hits.
There were six doubles in the game for
PBA, one for Luis Mejia, Jordan Carter
and Brooks Fleming, yet the player
with the biggest night in the game was
ninth hole hitter, third baseman, Taylor
Kaprive.
Taylor, son of Mark Kaprive (director
of campus ministries and missions) went
3-4 with three doubles, two RBIs, and
three runs scored.
