FAQ’s FOR ON-DEMAND ONLINE EXAMS 2009 BATCH

Q What are on-demand online exams?

A Online examinations can be attempted within 1st to 25th of every month & also for the
previous & current semester subject/s. (Online Examinations can not be taken from
26th to 30th/ 31st of any month – due to Server Maintenance)

Q How apply for on-demand online exams?

A To appear in the online examinations, student is required to download the exam
form available under student centre. The exam form can be downloaded by clicking
on Exam Form option. Student can select the subject/s by putting ; available on
the downloaded form, as per the choice & requirement.

Q Where do I find detailed information for On-Demand Online exams on website?

A You can find more / detailed information or procedure for On Demand Online
exams on our website www.scdl.net in students login itself under the link of Exam
form on Left Hand Side Index.

Q How and when can we send the exam enrollment form?

A Duly filled online exam forms can be sent from 1st to 28th of any month. (Online
Examination/s can be taken for the current semester & previous semester)

Q When will my exam form be processed?

A Duly filled exam forms with all required information filled in by the student get
processed within 3 -5 working days of SCDL, after receiving. (Exam Form/s do not
get processed on Sunday & Govt. Holidays / other holidays to SCDL)

Q When can I book my slots?

A Once the duly filled exam form processed in the system, online exam slot booking
can be done from next day, i.e. after processing the online exam subjects in the
system; exam slot booking is to be done.

Q Can I book for few subjects now and few subjects later?
A Online Exam slot booking for the applied subjects (as processed in the system) has to
be done within 3 working days after the slot booking is released. Student must
check regularly the exam slot booking by clicking on exam slot booking link
available in student centre.

Q What will happen if the exam enrollment form reaches SCDL after 28th of any month?
A If duly filled exam form received after 28th of any month to SCDL, Online Exam slot
booking for the applied subjects (as processed in the system) will be available

Q What will happen if you do not book the slots in the stipulated time period / duration?
A If student does not book the exam slot within the due date (even after exam slot
booking has been released) then to re-book the same subjects, student has to re-pay
the exam fees once again.

Q When I click on ‘book exam slots’ link on the left hand side menu of student centre a
blank screen is appearing. Why?
A To book exam slot, student must send duly filled exam form to SCDL. Once the
exam form is processed in the system, student can book the exam slot of respective
subjects as mentioned in the exam form.
Q Why has my exam enrollment form not uploaded in my login?
A
To avail the exam slot booking student must send prescribed duly filled exam
enrollment form to SCDL along with exam fees as applicable. Online exam fees
can be paid in Cash @ SCDL, Cash Counter or through DD drawn in favour of
“The Director, SCDL, Pune”. While, sending DD student must mention Full
Name, Correct Complete Registration Number & reason of sending DD, on the
back side of DD. (The DD drawn should be of actual amount towards exam fees .
DD with less exam fees do not get processed in the system.)

Q When does a student need to repay for the exams?

A Students are required to pay exam fees for every subject they wish to appear.

Q Can I appear for the same paper in the same month? What, if I want to do so?
A Student can re-apply for the failed subjects, only after the official declaration of
exam result on website i.e. after 10th of next month.

Q When would be results declared?

A Online examination results are declared immediately after completion of online
exam. However, only after the official declaration of exam result on website is on
10th of next month.

Q Do we receive the exam enrollment form every month, by SCDL by post?

A Exam form is available in student centre for every student. To appear in the online
examination/s, student have to click on “Exam Form” Link, download the exam
form & put ; for the subjects wish to appear & then click on submit. The exam form
will automatically get saved into .pdf format. Student can take the print out of said
.pdf format exam form & send to SCDL.

Q As I am appearing for the first time, do I still have to pay for the exams?
A To appear in the online examination student is required to pay Rs. 150/- towards the
online exam fee of each subject.

Q Can I change the exam booking centre once booked?

A Online exam slot booking once done can not be changed, cancelled or re-scheduled.

Q Does the hall ticket need to be attested?

A There is no need of attestation of Exam Hall Ticket & student can appear in the
online examination by carrying SCDL Identity Card & the print out of hall ticket for
respective subject.

Q As I have paid only first installment, am I eligible to appear for exams?

A Student can appear for the online examination/s, only after paying the Full Course
Fees of the respective program enrolled with our institute.

Q My admission is provisional & have paid full program fees can I appear for the exams?
A Student can appear for the online examination/s, only if, the admission status must
is confirmed & active.

Q Will I get the mark sheet of the exams that are appeared by me?
A The Exam Result Link will be available under SCL & student can take the print of
Exam Marks Record by clicking on the link.
Q Can I give the exam for a subject for which I have appeared and cleared OR can I give
any improvement exams, for passed but with unsatisfactory marks, for a subject?
A Student can re-appear / re-attempt only failed subjects.

Q Do I need to repay even if I have not booked for the slots?

A Students are required to book the exam slot within the stipulated time period (on
the basis of exam form processed in the system). Kindly check the due date of
duly filled exam form to be sent to SCDL, online exam form processing time
required at SCDL & release of exam slot booking thereafter.

Q I have filled the exam form, but fail to save the copy of the same, then what?
A In this case we have made two options in the same link (i.e. If want to view & print,
previous selected subjects for the current month; If want to select new subjects then
select the option whichever applicable) so that the student can view & print the exam
form again.

Q Can I apply for Re-evaluation for any paper?

A There is no re-evaluation / re-checking for online examination result.

Q What If I loose my Hall Ticket?

A It is mandatory for all students to carry Hall Ticket to Exam Centre. Student must
take the printout of Hall Ticket once the
slot booking is done. In case, student does
not have hall ticket

Q Until when can I apply for the exams?

A Student must attempt / appear & pass, pending assignments / examinations within
the course registration period
