Significant Highlights:
Functioned as the first member in Dept. to start with.
Ensured standardization of the DC System which effectively reduced marketing offer time, accuracy of
costing, reduction of Drawing preparation time, Productivity improvement at manufacturing division
(Assembly, wiring, Testing of equipment).
Steered enclosure design standardization to improve productivity & cost reduction, development of
Sub vendor.
Steered complete Electrification project from load sanctioning to project handover BIG ND
Studio, Near Karjat.
Ensured development of modular DC System.
Modified the controllers/Rectifiers so as to customize for any sector/Batteries in India.
Bagged major orders for NTPC projects with Modular DC system. Execution of the order in stipulated
time frame (First time in India, NTPC has adopted Modular DC System for C&I application).
Managed the Modular Integrated Power system which aimed at integrating the AC/DC Distribution, AC
to DC conversion, DC To DC conversion, DC to DC conversion to facilitate the user easy installation,
operation & maintenance.
With improved designs and standardization in Enclosures, cost saving from 12 to18% achieved which
was almost 1.1 to 1.7% of company’s Turnover.
For further improvement of Quality and cost saving successfully outsourced all manufacturing of
Enclosure.
With the modification in internal component layout, could standardize on Enclosure sizes in Depth,
which has saved Transportation cost as compared to previous years by almost 10-15%
With modified designs of Electronic PCBs, achieved high level productivity, ultimately saving of man-
hours.
The manufactured products are customized and the execution time required is very high compared to
customer requirements. Direct indirect cost was very high.- Major role played getting product
standardization through universal designs of subassemblies, reduction of number of enclosure sizes &
design to reduce cost and manufacturing time. Selection of alternate components technically &
commercially more suitable. Effective outsourcing of critical processes.
Being Product Head for Modular DC System, the manufacturing of the same was also my responsibility
and recommended management to have separate Team of manufacturing instead of clubbing it with
existing product range which has already Pressures. Appointed, Trained and put the new Team
effectively for manufacturing of Modular DC Systems.
The Pre-engineering of every manufacturing processes, subassembly made it very easy to get the
manufactured from New Team.
For Productivity Improvement -Successfully outsourced the Enclosure Manufacturing. Implementation
of PCS Electrical Drawing software, With Selection of proper Aluminum Excursion Section for Heat sink
and changing vendor, can reduce the cost of Heat sink by 18-23% and improved Productivity for the
related Assembly operation.
Undergone Training for Modular DC System, at Emerson Network Power China, for Weeks’ time.
Imparted Training at works on Modular DC System for Design, Manufacturing, Testing, Installation and
Service.
Training to Marketing and Design Team for ‘Selection and Design of DC System’ for various
applications.
Training/Presentations to Customers on ‘Selection and Design of DC System’. Major customers include
Tata Power, OPTCL, Vijay Electricals, RIL, OPGC, HPCL, NTPC etc.
Being Product Head for Modular Systems, the primary responsibility of attending the customer
inquiries, offering technically and commercially viable solutions, attending Technical-commercial
negotiations at customer. Finalised contracts with Yokogava, Emerson Process Management, Nirma,
RIL, BHEL, L&T, GE Fanuc, BHEL, Invensys for Modular DC Systems and most of the contracts are in
Crores.
Along with the sales contracts, for Purchase contracts Finalised for Switchgear Manufacturers to get
better discounts and other OEM advantages. All contracts of Enclosure, Capital Equipment’s finalised.

Plant Head:- Complete responsibilities of Transformer Design, production planning, Material
Management , Manufacturing activities Including Tank Fabrication.
Spearheading the overall responsibility for Manufacturing Division including sister concern unit
for Manufacturing of Transformers and Sheet Metal Enclosures.
In Manufacturing Division, effectively headed the major functions Design and Drawings,
Inventory Management, Production Management, Equipment Testing & Customer Inspections.
Developing production plans & schedules and arranging for resources to achieve predefined
targets.
Being the customized product and most of the processes are manual; the effective manpower
utilization was the key area which handled very effectively.
Managing a team of workmen and guiding them to address and resolve performance bottlenecks
along with imparting in house training.
