Who Does God Say I Am

I am a child of God. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God. (Jn. 1:12)
I am a branch of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life. I am the true vine, and my Father is the
gardener…I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much
fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (Jn. 15:1, 5)
I am a friend of Jesus. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business.
Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to
you. (Jn. 15:15)
I am justified and redeemed. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who
believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified
freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. (Rom. 3:22-24)
My old self was crucified with Christ, and I am no longer a slave to sin. For we know that our old self was
crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves
to sin-- because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. (Rom. 6:6-7)
God will not condemn me. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…
(Rom. 8:1)
I am set free from the law of sin and death. For through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free
from the law of sin and death. (Rom. 8:2)
As a child of God, I am a fellow heir with Christ. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God
and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
(Rom. 8:17)
Christ accepts me. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
(Rom. 15:7)
I am called to be a saint. To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be
holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and
ours. (1 Cor. 1:2; see also Eph. 1:1; Phil. 1:1; Col. 1:2)
In Christ Jesus, I have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. It is because of him that you
are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and
redemption. (1 Cor. 1:30)
My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who dwells in me. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's
temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? …. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy
Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a
price. Therefore honor God with your body. (1 Cor. 3:16; 6:19-20)
I am joined to the Lord and am one in spirit with him. But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with
him in spirit. (1 Cor. 6:17)
God leads me in the triumph and knowledge of Christ. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in
triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of
him. (2 Cor. 2:14)
The hardening of my mind has been removed in Christ. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the
same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it
taken away. (2 Cor. 3:14)
I am a new creature in Christ. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the
new has come! (2 Cor. 5:17)
I have become the righteousness of God in Christ. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in
him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Cor. 5:21)
I have been made one with all who are in Christ Jesus. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male
nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal. 3:28)
I am no longer a slave but a child and an heir. So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a
son, God has made you also an heir. (Gal. 4:7)
Who Does God Say I Am

I have been set free in Christ. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let
yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Gal. 5:1)
I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Praise be to the God and Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
(Eph. 1:3)
I am chosen, holy, and blameless before God. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be
holy and blameless in his sight. (Eph. 1:4)
I am redeemed and forgiven by the grace of Christ. In him we have redemption through his blood, the
forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace … (Eph. 1:7)
I have been predestined by God to obtain an inheritance. To be put into effect when the times will have
reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out
everything in conformity with the purpose of his will …(Eph. 1:10-11)
I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. And you also were included in Christ when you heard
the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the
promised Holy Spirit … (Eph. 1:13)
Because of God’s mercy and love, I have been made alive with Christ. But because of his great love for us,
God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by
grace you have been saved. (Eph. 2:4-5)
I am seated in the heavenly places with Christ. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in
the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. (Eph. 2:6)
I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph. 2:10)
I have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far
away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. (Eph. 2:13)
I am a member of Christ’s body and a partaker of his promise. This mystery is that through the gospel the
Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the
promise in Christ Jesus… for we are members of his body. (Eph. 3:6; 5:30)
I have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Christ. In him and through faith in him we
may approach God with freedom and confidence. (Eph. 3:12)

holiness. (Eph. 4:24)

Jesus Christ. (Phil. 3:20)

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:7)
God supplies all my needs. And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ
Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
I have been made complete in Christ. You have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every
power and authority. (Col. 2:10)
I have been raised with Christ. Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. (Col. 3:1)
My life is hidden with Christ in God. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. (Col. 3:3)
Christ is my life, and I will be revealed with him in glory. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you
also will appear with him in glory. (Col. 3:4)

loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. (Col. 3:12)
