eCo TRUSS HANGERS

eCo Truss Hangers provide a secure means of support
to connect timber beams, joists or trusses. eCo
Hangers are available in a range of widths i.e. 38mm,
50mm and 76mm. The hangers are available in
two variations for each width thus offering a wider
range of product to cater for a bigger range of
load values whilst always keeping economy in mind.
eCo Truss Hangers have been fully tested to establish
safe working loads which are far beyond those of
any similar products available in South Africa.
eCo Truss Hangers have been designed for Timber to
Timber, Timber to Steel or Timber to Concrete
connection applications.

eCo Permfix Nails

The eCo Permfix collar nail is specially designed for use with eCo
Fasteners sheet metal products such as Truss Hangers, Hurricane
Clips, Bracing Strap, Speedbrace etc.
The shaft of the nail is serrated as a standard ring shank nail.The
robust design of the head is particularly suitable for the application
and will not break off under the strain of hammering as can be the
Permfix
case with ordinary clout nails.The nail is blue DISTekTMcoated and Ring Shank Nails
has MII stamped on the head for easy identification.
The nail has been tested in a laboratory under strictly controlled 35mm x 3,15mm
conditions and has proved to attain a vastly increased holding With 7mm Dia Reinforced Head
capacity over ordinary nails.

STRAP HANGERS ADVANTAGES

eCo Strap Hangers are designed for truss-to-truss
connections. The eCo Strap Hangers can be used in
various applications as illustrated on the reverse side.
eCo Strap Hangers are manufactured from 1,0mm Z275
galvanized steel and are available in 90º and 45º to the left,
and 45º to the right options.
•Strap Hangers 90º can take designed loads up to 6kN
whereas normal hangers take 4,23kN.
• Strap Hangers 45º can take designed loads up to 5kN
whereas normal hangers take 4,23kN.
• Strap Hangers alleviate the tendency of timber splitting
where wide bottom chords are used.
• Strap Hangers have more versatility because of their
wrap-around fixing ability.
