Dear Students:

After so much hard work, the MS Play, Alice in Wonderland, is here! Come out and support your fellow students in this
memorable event. Shows take place in the FAT on Thursday, May 5 at 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 6 at 7:00 P.M. and Saturday, May 7
at 3:30 and 7:00 P.M. Tickets are available now at the Cashier’s Office for only 150 Pesos.

The Grade 4 Ambassador Program will occur this week Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This means there will be some lucky
Grade 4 students shadowing certain MS students. Please make these students feel welcome and a part of the MS family. Please
be reminded that backpacks need to be in lockers for the entire day. Thank you for being responsible in taking only what you
need to your classes. Also, please remember to wear your uniform correctly - undershirts should only be black or white, PE
shorts are only to be worn in PE lessons and shorts and skirts for girls must be at least fingertip length.

This Thursday, May 5 the MS Art Exhibition opens in the FAT Gallery at 3:00 P.M. Be the first to see your fellow classmates’ fine
works of art.

From May 9 to 13, there will be a special exhibit about renewable energy in the MS Courtyard. More details to come next week.

IASAS 3rd Season Report:
ISM Bearcats had a great 3rd season to conclude the school IASAS
year of events. Here at ISM, we proudly hosted the Badminton
tournament and received fantastic support from our school com-
munity with full gyms and plenty of cheering fans to support the
high level of Badminton on display from all teams. ISM Badminton
teams played well against tough opposition with the boys team
placing 4th and the girls team taking out the Bronze medal this
year. A great effort on home turf for our teams and the ISM girls
also won the Sportsmanship Award.
Our Softball teams played magnificently in Jakarta to capture the
Gold medal in both the boys and girls competition. This was the
first time the ISM boys team has won the IASAS Softball title and
for the girls the last victory was way back in 1988. To do it both in
the same year is incredible and the school is extremely proud of
all the players and coaches.
Track at Bangkok was a tough event for all participants with tem-
peratures over 40 degrees to endure on the first couple of days.
ISM boys finished in 4th place overall and the girls took home the
Bronze medal at this year’s Track championships. ISM athletes
achieved quite a number of personal bests with school records
broken at this meet along with a new IASAS record by Prerna Bhar-
gava in the girls 1500m event with a time of 4.56.27.

IASAS 3rd Season sports awards is Friday, May 6th at HS Gym start-
ing at 5:30 P.M. - dress to impress!
A big thanks to all our host families for IASAS Badminton. We can-
not host these events without our communities support and the
Badminton athletes really enjoyed their visit to Manila for the
tournament.
Next year’s dates and IASAS Schedule can be found on the ATAC Blog.
ISM will host MUN in November 2011 and Rugby/Touch in February
2012. We look forward to these events in school year 2011-2012.
Don’t forget the IASAS 30th Anniversary will take place this coming
October with a huge celebration at SAS with all first season sports
taking place in Singapore.
Best wishes this weekend to our Bearcat Gymnastics Team who will
travel to Singapore for the SACAS Meet and for our Mixed Touch team
who will travel to Jakarta this weekend also to compete in their sea-
son ending Touch exchange.

to the Den near the HS Cafeteria and talk with one of our volunteers

PLEASE NOTE: Last day of den operations for this school year is TUES-
DAY, JUNE 7th. The Den volunteers will be in hibernation from June
8th until reopening day on Monday, August 8th, 2011.
