We Don’t Just Go Here, We Grow Here
From The Desk of The Pastor
Our children’s ministry has been preparing a presentation for
Easter Sunday to help commemorate the resurrection of our
Lord & Savior Jesus the Christ. The volunteers have been put-
ting in extra time to help build their confidence and ensure they
do their best. Also, many of our members will complete a 13 week Bible Study
Course this Wednesday Night and will be awarded a certificate of completion dur-
ing the Easter Sunday Service. So join us on the 24th of this month at 10:30 a.m.
for these presentations and a powerful message from the Word of God.
Celebrating Members of “The Life”
Donnell Henderson, the son of Lady Francise and I, was selected as
Senior Class Favorite for the 2011 senior class at Brookhaven High
School. He will be attending Mississippi State University in Stark-
ville. Donnell was also accepted into the Day One Program of which
300 freshmen were chosen and will be majoring in electrical engi-
neering.
E.J. Henderson, the son of Jeremy & Desiree Harris & Ephraim Hen-
derson, was selected as Senior Class Most Athletic for the 2011 senior
class at Brookhaven High School. He will be attending Alabama State
University in Montgomery, Al where he received an athletic scholar-
ship in football and offered to play baseball as well.
Sharica Smith-Scott, the daughter of Antoinette Smith, is scheduled
to graduate from Copiah Lincoln Community College on May 13,
2011 where her major is Cosmetology. Her high school accomplish-
ments were: honor graduate, National Honor Society and Who’s Who
of America.
Shirley Goods is scheduled to graduate Cum Laude from Jackson
State University, on May 7th, 8 a. m. She is the mother of two daugh-
ters , Princess and Kennedi, and will be getting married on May 28th
to Kenneth Dickey. She has a Bachelor of Social Work Degree and is
a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
