Outside Reading Book Character Analysis: Inside-Outside

For this activity, you need to present a character from your novel. You will need to demonstrate an
understanding of how the character is perceived on the outside (body, hair, clothes, etc.) as well as the inside
(thoughts, feeling, reactions, opinions, etc.) of the character.

You may create a poster, pop-up doll, book cover, drawing, or any other original presentation to illustrate the
complexity of your character.
Be sure to include the following:
Name of the character
Perception of the character
Quotations (words) spoken by the character
Quotations spoken/ written about the character
Symbols representing the thoughts and emotions of the character
Words describing your character
Important!!!- You must have a minimum of (6) quotes for your character. These must include a
minimum of (2) in each category (spoken by and spoken about). Be sure to include page numbers for your
quotes.

Finally, you must write a paragraph explaining your project. This paragraph is to explain why you chose the
quotes you did, and also explain and words or symbols that are on your project.

Total Points: 30 With lit logs: 50


You are being graded on text selection, effort put into your display, and how well you explain your
project in your paragraph. Have fun!!
