3D XI Viewer Overview
With 3D XITM, you will be able to view, examine and diagnosis more clinical data in
a shorter amount of time than with current existing ultrasound technologies.
Integration of 3D XITM technologies, Medison is the very first and only ultrasound
firm in the industry to develop and adapt CT and MRI-like imaging technologies into
ultrasound systems. Whether for research or in an clinical setting, ACCUVIX XQ
with 3D XITM will dramatically increase your diagnostic capabilities and clinical
accuracy.
Limitation
- Open File: Select the to open Medison 3D Volume Data. This is the
Viewer. The image will be saved as a BMP file in the specified location.
- Select Mode: 3D XI can be run in three modes including Multi Slice View,
Volume CT, and Oblique View, depending on the examination application.
▶ Measure
This function is not provided in Volume CT and Oblique. Select the Measure to
move to the screen where measurement is possible.
- Distance: Measures the distance between two selected points.
- Ellipse: Measures the area of the selected ellipse. To select an ellipse,
select two points and use the connecting axis to adjust the ellipse shape.
- Clear: Clears the Distance and Ellipse measurement results.
- Main Menu: Returns to the Multi Slice Mode screen.
- To cancel measuring, right-click on the mouse.
▶ Initialize
This function resets the Multi Slice Mode setting to default values.
▶ Rot. Z (0/90/180/270)
This function rotates the Multi Slice image by the selected value. If the mode
changes or the Reference Plane is modified, the current Rot. Z is reset to 0.
The rotation will be performed along the Z-axis as illustrated below.
▶ Zoom
This function allows the user to zoom into the Multi Slice image up to 400%. Use
the mouse to select the slide button and make appropriate adjustments.
▶ Post Processing
This function allows the user to produce a desired Multi Slice image. Images that
have been post-processed are not applied to Volume CT.
▶ Rotation
This function adjusts the Rotate X, Rotate Y, and Rotate Z slide buttons in order to
rotate the Multi Slice image. Rotating the selected reference plane also rotates all
other planes in the same manner.
▶ Select Image
This function allows the user to choose an image to view by selecting Previous
Image or Next Image. The selected image is indicated by a yellow border.
▶ Select Page
This function allows the user to choose a different page of images to view by
selecting Previous Page or Next Page. Page range varies depending on the
Display Layout.
▶ Cut Depth
This function sets the Multi Slice interval. The interval for slice images can be user-
configured and is represented by an internal operation value by default. “Cut
Depth” indicated here refers to the interval of each slice within the volume data; it
does not represent the actual anatomic location in the scanned target.
▶ The Volume CT Mode expresses the Coronal / Sagittal / Axial images in the
selected 3D locations for easy identification of plane image information.
▶ Displays the respective surface according to the location of the image selected in
Multi-Slice view. If the Front/Top/Left side of the volume is nearer, the image is
displayed from the direction of the Multi Slice view. If the Back/Bottom/Right side
of the volume is nearer, the image is displayed from the opposite direction of the
Multi Slice view. When displaying the location for the selected slice, the image is
displayed as slightly slanted. This is to simultaneously show all the plane images
seen from different directions.
▶ Cube Volume CT
This function identifies the information for the external plane image neighboring the
cube.
Oblique Mode
▶ At the anatomic location of the Coronal / Sagittal / Axial image, use Line or
- Static Line: Acquires the information of the oblique plane image using the
default line.
- Dynamic Line: Acquires the information of the oblique plane image using
an edited line. To edit the line, use the mouse to select S(Start) and E(End)
points. Once the line is confirmed, the corresponding oblique plane image
will be displayed.
- Contour: Acquires the information of the oblique plane image by editing the
contour. To edit the contour, use the mouse to select S(Start) and E(End)
points. Once the contour is confirmed, the corresponding oblique plane
image will be displayed.
- Note that the amount of data is limited for specifying Dynamic Line or
Contour; the plane image for any excess data will not be displayed.
- The view direction for the oblique plane image is the oblique location of the
plane cutting the volume data.
▶ Line Rotation
This function allows the user to rotate the default line when using Static Line or
Dynamic Line.
▶ Line Offset
This function’s arrow button allows the user to move the location of the edited line
when using Dynamic Line.
